Haha wouldn't go that far. Only thing I find with running and why I opted for a bike over treadmill is it being high impact on the knees, struggled with knee problems years ago. I'm clueless when it comes to nutrition lol always had a big appetite which doesn't help matters. Been eating chicken so much so I'm amazed I haven't grown feathers. Eating rice, boiled eggs. Was having plenty of fruit with some Greek yoghurt but not had that much lately. Problem with it is mainly the portions. Shift work is a pain in the arse so tend to eat bigger meals. Today cheated a bit by having cheese wrapped in chicken and bacon with some rice (not the heathliest I know but far better than stuff I used to eat). Laid off the fizzy drinks, takeaways and all that shite. doesnt sound too bad mate. i made my best diet experiences with rice.been eating 4-5 times a week rice, instead of pasta while doing sport. i always lose weight while eating it and it gives you a much better feeling than pasta. and i eat lots of vegetables and salad (take care with the salad dressing) every day and along with each and every meal. i love lentils with some vegetables and pumpkinseed oil, could eat that stuff all day long.beans, brown rice, chickpiece, quinoa and all of these. i eat no dairy products at all,but even cutting them down a bit helps.i rarely eat some bread and if i do only whole-grain bread. and if i'm hungry during the night or the nightshifts its just tons of fruits, water, tea, some dried fruits and nuts. as you said, the fizzy drinks are the worst.but still getting myself one can of cola once a week,at max. i dont know, all of that helps me a lot.and obviously sports almost daily (if my back holds out). and i agree mate, shiftwork makes it so much more difficult altogether Aye I've hit a wall atm because I'm eating and doing the same thing every day. As soon as I can get back in the gym it'll ease things and I can get into a better routine. Drinking water like a fish but the last week I have relaxed a bit too much, been in a shit mood the last week or two which hasn't done me any favours so will get back into the swing of things this week.

Sooner I get into a decent routine though the better. Never find the motivation to keep going the hardest. Usually the getting up and going that I have to get past.

Since we don't have a smoothie thread and if I asked in the chit chat thread then it would be ten pages deep by tomorrow :-)
One of my flat mates bought a blender yesterday to make smoothies with, I always thought they were a massive fuss and took loads of cleaning but it literally just clicks in so I'm going to start using it to mix my protein powder in instead of having boring shakes.
Anyone got any decent recipes that they use that aren't a massive effort? Preferably something that can just be thrown in but works and I can mix it up.
Had one yesterday that had 2 scoops of vanilla protein, frozen strawberries, blueberries, greek yoghurt, almond milk and ice.
A lot of online recipes include a lot of fannying around

Then re-shape them into burgers, cook in Lard, enjoy.

Banana, spoonful of coffee, milk and honey. Frozen fruit, Greek yoghurt, tbl spoon honey, milk. There's a guy on Facebook called Aaron Lambo, he put a shake on there using protein powder, milk, frozen fruit and oats.

Bit of adjusting though and they will accommodate any diet I suppose. Reminds me I've gotta get back into using them again. Did have a smoothie recipe book somewhere, have to try and dig it out. Was some tidy ones in there, was a section of alcoholic smoothies as well
