I really want to make my own Pesto, as I refuse to pay north of £3 for a tiny pot of it, anyone have any good recipes they want to share? I've looked on the interweb and there are too fucking many to make a decision on

Getting a dab hand at the old cooking lark since I retired. The wife spent the morning, afternoon around our daughters baby sitting. Done a few odd jobs in the flat here and then made myself some battered fish, chips & eggs. Enjoyed it. Going too start making more meals like cauliflower cheese sauce with chicken breasts, beef or chicken curry, spaghetti bolognese etc. I did years ago when I got made redundant so why not again. Getting hungry now.

Wow, that was tremendous. Try it people. Give me the recipe King. I might try it some time. Will get the wife to prepare and cook it first and watch her. She is a good cook and taught me a lot.

I've looked on the interweb and there are too fucking many to make a decision on Get some pine nuts, roast them gently in a dry pan until they just start to colour and release oils Pour into a pestle and mortar Add Basil - lots of it Add a pinch of sea salt to act as an abrasive Grind it up Add good quality virgin olive oil Mix Add finely grated Paresean or Pecorino to taste (this adds a salty flavour so be careful on the sea salt earlier) Put into a cleaned and steralised Kilner Jar and keep refigerated for up to 2 weeks.
