True, think the fairest thing would have been to put the ball in their own net to give them the goal advantage, but getting that equaliser clearly spurred them to go for it, He should be ashamed either way. Not doing his club any favours.

Should have put one at the back of their net and resumed play. Al though not sure if those are allowed.

Nothing the ref could have actually done, he didn't break a law of the game, nothing in the rules to say you have to return the ball to the opposition after the ref has stopped play, and the ref can't make a team concede a goal to even things up.

Thinking he could have booked him maybe for unsporting conduct?

Totally shitty thing to do though, hope he gets a ban from UEFA for it.
