According to the Sun, previous target Mesut Ozil of Real Madrid is 'back on their radar' amid reports that he is considering his future at Real Madrid.
Sir Alex Ferguson was heavily linked with the German international when he left Werder Bremen two seasons ago, but the 24-year-old decided to move to the Bernabeu instead.
However, the Sun points out that Ozil is: "No longer a first choice under Jose Mourinho following the arrival of Luka Modric and sources insist he is growing increasingly unhappy.
"United chief Alex Ferguson has asked to be kept informed of any developments and would be at the front of the queue if Real decide to sell."
Ozil is seen as an ideal successor to Paul Scholes and as his wages are *only* £110,000-a-week he would comfortably fit in with the United pay structure.
The Sun adds:" If Real do choose to offload Ozil, the Spaniards would want double the £12million they paid Bremen."
Always liked ozil and think the english premiership would suit him down to the ground, Ozil.......Carrick........Cleverly in midfield looks nice, Carrick filling the DM role and ozil and cleverly pushing forward allowing rooney to play a little higher up the field.
..Van Persie.....Rooney... ................Kagawa............. Ozil.....Carrick/Jones....Cleverly

At this rate we'd playing with 11 Midfielders i reckon.
Surprised that we ain't linked with a Goalie or a CB or a LB seeing as we have had few goals let in.

Ozil is seen as an ideal successor to Paul Scholes Btw we have more than one of these. Powell Tunnicliffe Kagawa why spend pointless amounts of money where we dont need to. The only areas if any we should be looking at is CB - Hummels Mid - Strootman, Isco, Wanyama, Ince, Zaha. We don't need more attacking midfielders, We don't need a RB or a LB, We don't need another keeper, We don't need more strikers.

I agree that we have plenty of numbers there but Ozil pisses all over all the rest of our midfielders, probably all put together too.
If we were to pull this off I could club Nani and Young to death with my ferociously erect member(we would get more £ on the insurance claim)

Fuck it, if Ozil's available I'd bite their arm off.
He's absolutely in another class to compared to what we have.

Haha, nah, I think once we got Kagz the giddyness factor went down significantly. Any midfield addition will now be more about the ''fit'' than the necessity. At least, from our perspective it's a necessity to get in another decent midfielder.
I''ll say this though, if you can stick Ozil and Clevers/Ando/Powell with Carrick in midfield then the whole defensive thing goes out the window as this lad is able to keep it all day - all round a fantastic footballer.

If the chance comes along we should and probably would push the boat out to get him. Ozil is a top class player but that whole thing with his fittness worries me. I've seen the man complete 90 minutes once as a player I think, but its a small issue compared to what he does have.

It seems to crop up every few months that he's unhappy or something. Is he moany cunt or is it just tabloid nonsense?

Well if it happens, a good thing that will come of it is that he won't be tempted by Spain in a couple of years. Saying that, I can't see it.

Is he moany cunt or is it just tabloid nonsense? the rumor doing the rounds recently was that he didn't settle well in Spain. as strange as it may sound, there are those that prefer the gloomy climes of certain parts of Germany (and the UK) to that of sunny Spain.
