Does anyone know how to solve an issue I'm having re. wages. My budget is £ 1.5 million, currently it's about £ 1.05 million. Renegotiations for a raft of important youngsters is looming, they're all going to want big pay rises since the success we've has since they signed the original deals. Problem is, the high-mark for Vital Player is £ 200, 000, but the high-mark for First team is £ 66, 000. Clearly not all of my players are wholly indispensible, but I have to be able to offer them more than £ 66, 000.
Anyone know how any way to fix/change that? I don't need more wage funds, just a higher threshold. Unless raising my wage budget does that, but I haven't had cause to shift it about in the past.
Also, it's really quite annoying that player won't accpet lower per-week deals when I offer ridiculously high bonues. e. g. Jerome Boateng wanted £ 89, 000 a week. He's 31 now and I was not giving that to a 31 yr old, so offered £ 60, 000 plus £ 34, 000 appearence bonus. So a possible Total = £ 94, 000 but he turned it down. He plays 30 games a season like, so it is very frustrating

Okay, so Boateng took £ 66, 000 + £ 55, 000 app. fee. Unbelievable. Shelling out over 100 grand weeks I play him. Git.

Sell him! I always sell someone after they (a) complain too much or (b) reject my offers 3 times. Rule with an iron fist!

Nah wouldn't sell him, he took my vastly reduced £ 66, 000 offer even if it is with big add-ons. Not worth much either, can get better value keeping him around. He's one of only 7 over-30s in my squad and I need his experience to cover me until a couple of Academy prospects at left-back sink or swim. I've given him until 33 then he'll be away! The lad Nielsen I signed in the summer is already a good LB and he'll hopefully fulfil the 4 star potential rating to be my first choice by then.
I do enjoy the perks of being a long-serving manager as anytime anyone complains I can basically tell them to do as they're bloody well told and they almost always shut up and apologise!
@ Carbs - Aye, I could adjust the budgets but I don't need more wages, just different cut-off points. It's awkward.

I don't work in IT and I play FM on my personal lappy in the office. Ahh yes, the bonuses of a private office. . .
Stuff has happened in my game. We're 9 points clear starting after Crimbo break, slow started my European Cup Group but ended up topping it. Got Fiorentina in the last 16 to come.
But funny stuff is:
Lampard has been sacked by Burnley Danny Murphy sacked by Crewe United went young striker mental in the summer and bought 3. All of them have 3.5 stars potential according to my scouts. One of them, which I love, is called Bryan Aston, from Stalybridge. I'm pretending he is a grandson/great-grandson of John Aston Jr.
@ Carbo - Free signings at the end of the season? I love those, the big clubs let some really quality at LLM young players leave for free.
