I'd forgotten the new one was out now - anyone got it? Am in my third season with United. Happy to answer any questions & tell the story of my save if anyone is interested. Always! Tell us your save! I started as Middlesbrough. I am now near the end of season 4 and it has been a bit of an up and down run. I got promoted in my first season. Which is not difficult as the Boro team is more than decent, Shotton, Friend, Randolph, Britt Asombalonga all very good champs players and some become decent Prem players. They also have Fry - a very very good young CB who became a leading Prem defender after 3 seasons. I managed to acquire 17 year old Marin in my first season for incredibly cheap and he was a revelation until he started picking up injuries at end of second season. By season 4 hes now only 2 and a half stars and struggles for consistency. Boro's reputation has grown but he doesn't seem to have matched it. Very annoying as he was my best player for years 1 and 2 and was up there for the forst part of year 3. With luck he can become a worldie. He was very close for me. Hes still only 21 or 22 but his inconsistent form makes him hard to keep on the pitch. If you can't keep them above 6.8 they don't always grow. I bought Tonali at start of second season. He is fantastic and grows into a leading CDM. Other than that I relied heavily on loans. Dalot from United was a great signing. Got him for 2 seasons before United realised he was good. Foden from City was fantastic for me. Got him for 2 years and now they wont sell him for less than 100 mill sadly. Moise Kean from Juve has turned into a wonderkid and I got him for 2 seasons before I somehow managed to make the move permanent by year 3. I managed to finish in the top half of the table in season 2. I destroyed the likes of West Ham but got humbled by the top 6. And Leicester. For some reason they kept buffing me. Season 3 was much better. Kean was firing then in and Marin started season so well. I also loaned Isak from Dortmund and Man from PSG. I signed Patrick Roberts on a free also. And a Brazilian CM called Walace. He started as a 3.5 star player and ended up barely making a 6.7 avg and regressed. Bloody Brazilians in Tyneside! Other than Walace being gash, I finished in the Champs League places and won the League Cup. There was much rejoicing. I sold Assombalonga and pretty much all the older lads who came through and flipped them for some regens and some very good young players. I got a left back called Josh Tymon. Highly recommend him. I took Ajer from Celtic. Butland from Stoke. (He has a very cheap release if Stoke get relegated.) We got into the Semi Final of the Champions League, but are 9th in the league. We were so poor away from home, I tried changing tactics, changing players. Can't get a tune out of Marin right now. Kean continues to bang them in, but the defence go into panic stations a lot. Season ends shortly, I highly doubt I'll win the Champs, I might finish 8th in League with no European prospects. The wolves are circling for Kean and Tonali. Butland is also wanted by PSG. They all and new contracts and I am very short on funds. Seems like Year 5 May be my final year as Boro boss 😪 I may jump before I'm pushed!

Yes, I like it. The training system is much more in depth and takes a bit too much time for my liking. But most other stuff is good. Three seasons in I've seen less outrageous transfers than usual which is good. I think if you're happy with the FM you have now then you can stick with it, this one isn't a game-changer. I just love FM and always enjoy a new one even if there are only a few small changes. It's a great game but if you have 18 or maybe 17 you can wait until 20 without worrying.

Season One
First job is the transfer market. Our squad is more balanced in terms of who can play where than it has been in recent years so that makes my job easier. I try to sell before I buy, but a £90m budget helps.
Out: Darmian £15m to Newcastle, Smalling £14m to Lyon, Lingard £50m to Arsenal. In: Chiesa RW £56m from Fiorentina, De Ligt CB £30m from Ajax, Varane CB £66m from Real Madrid, Lucas Paqueta playmaker CM £24m from Flamengo
Then in January:
Out: Phil Jones £18m to Wolves, Fellaini £31m to Shaktar, Young £4.2m to Newcastle, Rojo £16m to Fiorentina In: Alex Sandro LB £51m from Juventus
Won the league with the scouse coming second. Not much remarkable happened in the league - City and Chelsea got CL, Spurs 5th, Arsenal 6th.
Season Two
Many less transfer concerns - my main issue was a RB and a striker, but I didn't get either because I couldn't find a great RB and I couldn't afford a top striker (I wanted Dybala).
Summer:
Out: Mata £67m to Inter, Periera loan to Arsenal In: Milinkovic-Savic CM £58m from Lazio, Pulisic RW £67m from Dortmund
I wasn't planning on selling Mata, but Inter just offered so much for a player over 30. I thought I'd let him choose and he went, so I needed a RW to replace him. On deadline day I couldn't decide between Pulisic, or Asensio for £25m more. Asensio is the better player but I went for Pulisic because he was better at RW which was where I wanted him to play. Asensio went to City the following summer for £30m more than the fee I agreed for him before pulling out.
Then by January Valencia really was struggling, even as a backup, and thankfully the board gave me a nice cash injection. I didn't actually use most of it though - I wanted Kessie from AC Milan to replace Matic but they wanted over £100m for him which was a joke. I then tried again in March and found they were much more reasonable about him leaving in the summer. Si:
Out: Valencia £3m to Burnley In: Mbabu RB £15m from Barcelona, regen RB £7.5m from Lanús
I did the treble this time! Without too much difficulty either. Did PSG in the CL final and Southampton (who also got relegated) in the FA Cup final.
Klopp went to Real Madrid in the summer, and hilariously Liverpool replaced him with Arsene Wenger. They finished 5th and he was sacked. Top 4 was me, Chelsea, Spurs and City. Arsenal sacked Emery for another 6th placed finish, and City sacked Pep as well, getting Ancelotti in. Bournemouth came 7th and Howe was rewarded with the England job.
Season Three
This time the board were not playing around. I'd already confirmed Kessie when they gave me a £250m budget, which I was not afraid to use. Brexit also happened and the rules changed so that U23s don't need to be registered. The number of home-grown players stayed at 8, but the foreign player work permit rules changed, meaning to get a work permit they need a certain salary (£10k a week I think). Given how much money we have, if anything it's now easier to get foreign players.
Out: Alexis £80m to Real Madrid, Matic £40m to Juventus, Romero £5m to Spurs, Mbabu loan to Everton, Periera loan to Inter In: Kessie CM £90m from Milan, Mbappe RW £170m from PSG, Kimmich RB £72m from Bayern
The board gave me that huge budget, and when I spent it they reduced money from transfer revenue from 100% to 10% annoyingly. I wish I'd done my sales first, but I got all my incomings sorted first so I got basically no money from my sales. Grr. Still, £330m outgoings isn't bad. Alexis for £80m was amazing but Real were desperate I think and he was on form so they didn't seem to care about his age. Likewise Juve and Matic.
Mbappe has hit the ground running and Kessie has been class as well - he actually has only 1 less goal than Mbappe at the end of September, even though I play him as a ball winning midfielder. The team is obscenely strong now and I should be winning pretty much everything again. Rashford and Martial have both improved as well which is great. Gomes and Chong are loaned out but I hope Greenwood will get a few opportunities.

so I got myself my first tablet yesterday. phone company fucked up something with my contract and when I realized it yesterday they felt sorry and I basically got the tablet for free. Was thinking to get football manager touch but fucking hell it's almost 20 euros on the play store. Last one I got was the 2018 version for pc. Any of you guys played the touch version on a tablet? Is it any good and worth the money? Are there big differences to the pc version?

Is it any good and worth the money? Are there big differences to the pc version? The Touch version is streamlined. So I think you can only have 3 leagues and it cuts out a lot of the fat - I think things like press conferences, long scouting meetings etc. It's basically just transfers and matches, like the old days. It's not an inferior product so much as different. It's also available on PC and Switch, and cross saving works between tablet and PC I think (but not Switch, and only with Touch on PC, not the main game on PC). I think you can download a demo on PC and play 6 months. I recommend doing that, and if you like it, buy it on tablet. If you also buy it on PC you can keep the 6 months progress you'll have made as well. Make sure to download the FM Touch demo, not the normal FM one. The other question is if the tablet is strong enough to play it. Try and work out the specs and compare them to the recommended ones. Sometimes the tablet can download games like this but they're intolerably slow to play and they kill the battery.

Hey where's the dislike button I don't understand why you wouldn't want him to be good. Of course I want him to turn good, is more of a dissapointment of expactation. We all know he have the quality, it's just that I have been waiting over a year to see it .
