Just finished this after reading it for a week whislt commuting to work. Have to say I had high hopes for this book (not sure why!) and it's one fo the worst I've read.
The key things I was hoping to read about were the transfer request and the world cup performance.
Both were covered in a paragraph.
It's really poorly written, it's almost like a commentary on the past 10 seasons of games so if you know the results over the past 10 seasons don't bother with it.

Surely he needs to be careful what he says whilst still playing at United, under Fergie? I don't blame him for that.

No nothing of interest whatsoever I'm afraid, honestly, I wish there was, I wish there was something that stood out but there really wasn't anything.
You'd be suprised Traff, he does mention how much the gaffer shouts and screams at the players and what he usually does in terms of setting the players up for matches, theres a forward by SAF himself also.
Funny mention that the day Scholes returned to play again he said that Scholes had gone on the coach with the team to City and he was saying that its always good to have former players around for experience, then he said he was in the dressing room with his suit on and then started to get changed, then put his kit on and none of the players knew about it and were gobsmacked. I'm suprised they managed to keep that quiet from the team.

Exactly, Look at Jip Jap and Keano, both legends among united and were thought to be expendable, straight out the door so I agree with Traff ere he has to be careful what he puts, we certainly don't want to see him being booted out of the door as well.

Yeah I get your point, I just don't see why you would write a book (i know he's been contracted to do 3) and not even cover the most controversial, most talked about parts of your career aside from the football on the pitch!

Exactly. Best to just not commit to writing a book at all. There's his whole retirement for book deals.

I really wish players would save their terrible books for when they have retired. It's so self-indulgent releasing them whilst they're still playing.

Before i comment, can i say i'm genuinely not having a go here. Just a general wondering from me. With respect what were you expecting? Can't he only cover what's occured over a certain period of time. A book that's better written still covers the same situations. Regarding his transfer request/ world cup performance, he may have had his reasons why he didn't expand on it, but i'm afraid that's his perogative at the end of the day.
