Just seen that the guy who placed the bet also placed a super heinz on the 7 runners so still pockets £12k from getting 6 out of 7 winners. Not £1million but I'd be happy with that!

SET and fergiegiveusawave, are you guys betting on horses daily? I do to varying amounts though. A festival like Royal Ascot where there's 5 days of top class racing I'll set aside a lump sum that I'm willing and can afford to lose. Also weekend racing tends to be better quality so I also gamble more. Normal everyday racing I stake a pretty small amount.

SET and fergiegiveusawave, are you guys betting on horses daily? Pretty much. Like FGUAW, i usually bet small and save the big bets for festivals like this week. Dont spend alot on it normally. Bet small win big (in theory)

Bet small win big (in theory) Yeah that's it. Normally on midweek racing I'll pick out 6 or 7 horses a day for a small stakes heinz or other multiple which has a crazy payout well into the 1000's. Highly unlikely that it comes in but they always have a chance. Even getting just 4 or even 3 winners can give you a really good profit sometimes.

At worst you lose a couple of quid or, as seems to be my luck atm, just about get your money back.

I deposit once a week & once my betting account is empty it stays that way until the next payday. Even though i have money in the bank to deposit more. If you gamble online like i do most companies allow you to set limits if you want. That way you cant keep throwing money away

Shows that you don't always have to bet big to win big. You just have to pick right

i know i mentioned a while back in here that i was thinking about placing some bets. still undecided though, find it kind of too risky to lose any money on bets That's gambling! You just gotta stake what you're willing to lose. If you hate the thought of losing a penny then don't bother. If you don't mind losing a few quid and enjoy the thrill of it then go for it. I bet a lot but not for huge amounts so I don't lose much money. I bet on golf every week, around £20 total stake on 2 different tournaments, during the football season I have at least 1 football bet a day and other than that it's just horse racing which I've already explained my outlay. Considering I'm always complaining about bad luck I stake around £80-£100 a week on normal weeks but rarely finish down by that amount which means I'm getting some money back one way or another. It's the big festivals like Royal Ascot and Cheltenham where I tend to take the biggest hit. I was up for the week this morning but unless I get a winner today I'll be down for the week but not by a huge amount.

That way you cant keep throwing money away Yeah I don't necessarily set myself a limit for the week but I don't go chasing wins. So if I stick £20 in tomorrow and lose it I don't go depositing more to try and recoup what I've lost. Once I've lost what I've put in I'm done for the day.
