Thats why you should only bet what you can afford to risk/lose(if you follow my tips that is) Set a limit and stick to it. I deposit once a week & once my betting account is empty it stays that way until the next payday. Even though i have money in the bank to deposit more. If you gamble online like i do most companies allow you to set limits if you want. That way you cant keep throwing money away Yeah I don't necessarily set myself a limit for the week but I don't go chasing wins. So if I stick £20 in tomorrow and lose it I don't go depositing more to try and recoup what I've lost. Once I've lost what I've put in I'm done for the day. Aye, i don't use the limit option either. I try and stick to e20-30 a day, unless i get passed a decent tip, in which case i might make an exception. Depends on how many races are on though Easier now i stopped betting on football a few months ago.

Where I've said I stake £80-£100 a week don't forget that's not how much I'm losing or even depositing into my account. It's just the amount in total bets I've had. Often I'll win a couple of quid earlier in the week and that'll last me for the rest of the week. Or like SET alluded to I'll often win my stake back, so go again the day after with the money I got back the day before.
Normally checking my bank balance and seeing I'm around £40 down is enough to tell me to take it easy for the rest of the week.

There's no such thing as a guaranteed winner in horse racing in my eyes. There are horses that you fully expect to win but nothing is guaranteed, anything can effect the result of the horse race. There are all sorts of things to look at to tell you which horse to back or at least give you an idea. Horse form is the main one, then you look at trainers and jockeys form, the amount of weight a horse is carrying, the age of the horse, how soft or firm the ground is that the horse is running on as they all prefer different types of ground, the distance of the race and also looking at the odds. If the horse has been backed a lot the price becomes shorter which would suggest a lot of people fancy it (including the connections, certified ITK's). So you can look at all that, pick out the horse you think will win then the 66/1 outsider will come on the outside late on and beat you on the line!

Form guides, have seen them in previous races, tipping sites, etc. I go through a few sources to help narrow down picks. Doesn't always work as sheer luck plays a part. Especially when you see 50/1 horses winning and that.

Had picked him last night, not big odds, but apparently he drifted to around 50/1 during the race!!

Today's racing has been by far the worst for me this week. Utter shite. 3 more plays in the last 2 races. Haripour in the next and then Cape Cova and Baydar in the last.

If you're going to do that then start with the big meetings, the Grand National and the likes and go from there. I bet on horse racing because I've grown up with it, all my family bet on the horses, including my 70 year old Nan who has various online betting accounts! My Dad in particular is big on it. Football betting is probably the best seems you're obviously a football fan. Again start simple, just have a bit on United to win and what score, stuff like that. Ultimately though, if you feel you won't be able to handle losing money then don't bother at all.

I generally do alright on the horses. Even better on golf. It's football betting which really kills me, by far the most frustrating. So often very close to winning decent money but always 1 selection which fucks you over.

La Liga bets are the worst in my opinion. When I used to bet, I mostly did it with the Premier League, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga. Primeira Liga is quite predictable as well, bar the last Portuguese Cup that Moreirense won.

Just couldn't believe how the fave was running so poorly that it drifted that far, then it won.

It's started changing for me. Because I mainly do goals based football bets I used to have countries I could rely on, Germany and Netherlands were 2 of the main ones but they fucked me up time and again last season. Portugal and Brazil are leagues I stay away from, Particularly Brazil as there's a surprising lack of goals in matches there. I thought there'd be 2-2's galore but from my experiences they're few and far between, either that or I'm just picking the wrong games. One big positive with football betting is that it makes you watch leagues and teams you wouldn't normally find time to watch or take an interest in.
