The limbs in the Stretford End, the roar, Fergie's joy, Neville's celebration and Hughes arguing with the ref in the background.
Everything about this is perfect!
EDIT:
Wrong thread though. Game was played on 20 September. Duh!

Just before my time, Stormin' Norman was. Always feel he was the homegrown United captain we never got.

That was a huge night. Without being too dramatic, it changed everything for Fergie and Utd. The belief that came into the club after beating Barca carried right through the summer coupled with some astute signings and the emergence of Giggs. We were set up for years.

Watched it in the MEN as the Rangers fans had ruined the chance of having a big screen in town the week before. It was carnage when Terry missed.

I can't believe that was 12 years ago. Feels like yesterday. I didn't see Terry's pen because I just couldn't watch, so I went outside for a cigarette. I had a pub at the time and ran back inside, lit cigarette still in hand, when I heard the reaction to the miss. My wife shouted at me for smoking inside, so I dropped the cigarette in my pint and watched the replay of the worst moment of that shitcunts career. It's one of my favourite football memories.

God, 12 years ago. I had just arrived in Melbourne about a week earlier (who'd have thought I'd still be here all these years later). I turned the telly off the moment Terry hit the pen. Couldn't stand sitting there and watching so much of a second of it. As the screen went black I saw the ball hit the post. Jumped into the air, quickly hitting the On button, not 100% sure I had saw what I thought I saw. What a fucking night/morning.

I saw Edwin get his hands to Ashley Cole's penalty and turned yelling in celebration. Was so confused when I looked again and we were still losing.
Meant I waited for an extra second to celebrate Terry actually missing, so there was a weird pause while other people went mental and I stood still.

We watched pens in 2 different rooms.
It was too tense and we were getting on each others wick. So I went upstairs to watch it and practically missed every step on the way downstairs to celebrate in the living room. 🤣🤣
