www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8428193/Livingston-youngster-Coll-Donaldson-offered-trial-at-Manchester-UnitedLivingston teenager Coll Donaldson has been offered an opportunity to impress during a trial spell at Manchester United. Scouts from the Premier League giants have watched the 17-year-old defender in action during recent reserve outings. They have been impressed by what they have seen from the centre-half and have invited him to Old Trafford. Livingston will not stand in the youngster's way, with such opportunities arising very rarely, and he heads to England with their blessing. "Coll was watched by Man United in a couple of reserve games and Martin Ferguson (chief scout) wondered if they could have a look at him," said Livingston chief executive Ged Nixon. "They're looking after him and he'll train with them before they decide what they want to do. "It's a fantastic opportunity for the boy. No matter what happens in the end, it will let him see what's out there and he'll train in fantastic surroundings at Carrington."

Any decent club shouldn't stop a youngster from going on trial if a bigger club comes calling.
They know we will look after him and if he impresses we will buy him - which is a great compliment to their youth system and coaches.
Be good to have another scot at the club.
