Great read that. If he can encourage Rashers development even slightly then it was all worth it

We could of easily scored another 2 goals today so good just watching us go out and attack, be nice to see which kids get some game time in the f.a cup too

It wont always be this great. There will be losses, but by fuck we will be entertained. That's genuinely all I want right now

That's genuinely all I want right now It was always a hypothetical that cropped up a lot during Fergie tenure here. When he left would we want the trophies more or is the style of play paramount? My own view at the time was that trophies were the only thing that really mattered, but having endured what we have done since he left I will take entertainment with open arms. Sure we still want trophies, but it really is about more than that.

I mean, I don't want to get excited BUT.... That's a mental stat. I know they weren't the hardest teams, but we've made a mess against all 4 in the past few years!

Sure we still want trophies, but it really is about more than that. I've always believed at Manchester United style has to come first. There are plenty of other teams who have been successful playing different kinds of football but we have to play on the front foot otherwise we're not really United at all, no matter how many trophies we might win. Once you start to play open, attacking football, I think it really exposes the players who can't play both expansive football and be efficient/effective in their positions. With the money we've had access to over the past 30 years, we've usually been able to buy the best (or as close to as possible) in a players position or we've already produced the best via our youth team. More often than not, this has left us with a title winning team anyway. Ole gets it and I think he's bang on when he says it's not really too difficult of a job when you're working with quality players. It's a shame Jose and Louis seemed to not trust their players enough to show the fans how good or how limited they really were. Play good football first and results will come, that's what I always say. You need to be able to change things up when you are on the back foot but that comes second at a club like united, not first.

Either bring them through the academy or sign up them young and make them world beaters. I can't imagine anything more exciting than watching one of these players perform well on the pitch. I know that players like Zlatan for example can create some magical moments but I'd rather watch Rashford or Martial do similar things.
The results are important of course but I can't support a team of mercenaries wholeheartedly no matter how good they are.

The problem with keeping Ole past the 6 months here, is will Pocchetino/Jardim/Rose/A. N. Other be available if it goes tits up?
Poch can't and won't wait forever.

So, Ole massively improves us with an entertaining brand of football (the United way) and goals galore. We get rid for Poch and THEN it goes tits up just like it did with Van Gaal and Jose. What you going to do then? go back for Ole!

Reality is, if we finish in the top 4, Ole will deserve to stay. Odds are that if he does manage to do that, over the course of his 21 games in charge he'll have the best record in the league, to pull that off with the mess he inherited would be an immense achievement.
This coaching setup plus a DoF would make a lot of sense. These are people with experience, who know the club and TRULY want for it to succeed - not because it will reflect positively on them, but because they genuinely care for it.
