No as much as I want Ole to succeed he’s just not up to being the manager we deserve, that should be one of the best in the world and we are not even close to that
I would like to see a German manager here next, they seem to be the better modern managers about right now.

If you’re going to shit on Ole, which everyone seems to do these days even when he wins, then it’s only fair to acknowledge some of the positives. He’s the third fastest United manager to 50 wins. I also read elsewhere that he’s produced the second best record in Europe in 2020 only behind Bayern. If we can go on a run in the league similar to our second half last season then we’ll be competing for the title. He’s adapted and changed tactics when needed, as shown recently against Southampton yet that won’t be acknowledged either. It was done by quite a few people, myself included on the match day thread. When did we become a learning on the job club for wannabe managers?

With Zidane having a mare at Madrid only a matter off time before they pull the plug, and make a move for poch or alegri, the problem is he keeps scraping a win or having a good result in the middle off some shit results, ole will be here for the rest of the season at least imo now.

So anybody having a rethink on the Ole out ? So, after seeing Ole leave Fred on the pitch when literally any single other manager in world football would have thought "fuck, that was lucky, and with this diving and cheating fuckers he is a walking red card now, lets get him subbed straight away" and brought him off; only for Fred to, obviously, get sent off, are you having a rethink on Ole in?

I think of anyone who thought he shouldn’t have been hooked at HT(well one)

How many clubs we've played this season would swap their manager for ours? Luton in the League Cup, maybe Istanbul. Possibly Newcastle and West Brom. Certainly not Southampton or Everton.
Honestly probably being generous to Ole there.

On the one hand ... Ole has now conceded more goals at home this season than Jose Mourinho did in the whole of the 2017/18 season. On the other, this mock up made me hurt inside:

Another example of why having a manager learning on the job is far from acceptable. Everyone could see the obvious happening except that Clown! Fast forward to next week & the narrative will be 'we always knew is was going to be tough in a group with two top top teams,we have to learn to take our chances, move the ball quicker, defend as a team better,we will work hard in training & we are looking for forward to hopefully doing better in the Europa League than we did last season'

Ole really showed his weaknesses yesterday. The game reminded me a lot of the Sevilla semi-final, with us on the verge of scoring for most of the 2nd half, the opposition manager making a tactical change, Ole not responding, and the game changing in their favor.
He knows how to set the team up for big games, but he doesn’t know how to manage a game if something changes. There’s plan A (counter attack), and the only thing close to a plan B is praying we get a penalty.

Agree that was a stupid thing to do especially when we had DVB on the bench who would provide plenty of energy and more creative qualities too. But i still think he deserves this full season , we can still qualify for the knockout round , also win the game in hand and we are 2 points from top in league table. Even the PSG game could have been won if our players didnt lose their shit and acted like complete morons.

So what happens next is we go and get beat of West ham then the pressure is back on ole, but then we go and beat Leipzig to qualify as group winners and he keeps his job longer, rinse and repeat

His man management skills are severely lacking, Martial of late has been appalling, he's got 2 goals all season and cost us the game last night, despite what happened with Fred. Martial is not being encouraged to get better because he always starts despite his hopeless goal scoring form this season. Management 101, don't reward mediocrity especially when you have options like Greenwood, Cavani or Igahlo.
He finally plucked up the courage to leave Pogba on the bench after weeks of abject performances and we all applaud him for it, why can't he do the same with Martial? At this time, who really gives a shit if he throws a wobbler and demands a transfer? Ole appears unable to make big decisions and eventually his luck will run out and he will be sacked. On the whole, that was a good performance last night but I'm convinced a better manager would have gotten a result. There's very little chance of us winning anything of note this season because consistency is king and we don't have it. I know we have a game in hand in the PL, but who fancies us to win it and be consistent enough to challenge for the remainder of the season? It's just not going to happen with this squad and manager. A change is desperately needed.
