I'd honestly rather Benitez than Southgate. Tough one, but at least FSW knew how win things once. Exactly. Benitez is a wanker but he's a half decent manager at least. Southgate has achieved nothing really, think he might have won the League Cup ages ago.

Oh, but he did come fourth out of four World Cup semi-finalists with England. So that was a huge overachievement.

Anyway, without being blunt, we all know this speculation about Ole is a waste of time. Woodward loves him. He’ll get the rest of the season at the very least.

'As a professional footballer you can't feel sorry for yourself, you have to look at yourself & feel sorry for yourself for a couple of minutes' this has to be one of his best to date

A large number of supporters still back Ole and are actually quite aggressive when you suggest he's not up to the task and are accused of not being a true supporter etc. While that feeling exists Ed will keep him in the job.

Come on mate , did you forget the endless passing from one end to the other end under LVG , him continuously starting rooney in the midfield , Jose playing Fellaini and hitting long balls hoping something will happen , do you really think greenwood will be starting matches if Jose was still managing us. Its one thing to say Ole has taken us as far as he can , but you cant tell he made absolutely no improvement. I forget very little & I would take anything LVG & Jose served up over this other than Phil Jones on corners again. OGS has created a complete basket case of team, without any clear idea or system. You only have to look at last night to sum up his reign, pre match he said it was about big teams turning up & winning games when it mattered,we didn't. He only needed 1 point from two games,we lost both shipping 6. Before last night he said we couldn't play for a draw because that was not in our DNA,he then starts with a 5 & 8 defensive players in total,no wonder the players looked lost until 1/2 time. I would really think hard about this one. You're entrenched in your view of Ole and that's fine but LVG's football was generally pretty horrible. I'm sure we can go through the archives here alone and see the complaints of LVG's tactics in games against teams we're supposed to beat. LVG did win us the FA Cup but the consensus at the time was relief that he was finally gone since he was a fucking basket case on his own.

I disagree ,whilst a lot of was very dour & unpleasant on the eye, there was always a plan & system with LVG.
