Ronaldo isn’t a patient man especially in his twilight years if we don’t win anything at the end of this season he could ask to leave. Nah he would ask for Ole to be sacked and before the end of the season if he sniffs Ole is the issue He’s probably seen enough already.

Surely this isn’t even a debate any more? The man is in way over his depth.

The thing is, for a sacking to be “justified” the season needs to pretty much be irreparable. Why get there? Why not simply acknowledge that this will not end well and do what is necessary? Conte, Zidane, heck.. even Rodgers could all do amazing things with this squad. Nah. ten Hag.

www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/16150529/man-utd-solskjaer-sack-panic-champions-league-fergie/ Neil Custis in the Sun had some ridiculous comments that Ole shouldn't be judged on the Young Boys defeat because Fergie lost to Basel in 2011 and failed to get out of the group stages that year. And that the progress is there for all to see as Ole took us from third, to second, and now top of the Premier League.
I cannot believe he gets paid for writing such crap.

It helps to remember that fat fuck Custis is Neil Ashton's number one on 'post this draft article' speed dial.

Ten Hag 1 defeat in the last 19 away games in the Champions League while beating the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Tottenham, Valencia, Lille, Sporting CP and more clubs.

Tend to agree. We need a facilitator of good players rather than aspiring tactical revolutionary.

Rodgers would be my choice. 2nd after Zidane for me (though not by much). The problem is Arsenal are probably going to come to their senses soon and get him to replace Arteta.

@duncancastles · 19m • €500m+ commited to transfer fees since Solskjær’s appointment • 2nd most expensive squad in world football by transfer fee • Highest net spend during COVID pandemic. (Bruno Fernandes signed window before.) • Zero trophies. Same old tactical errors.

Yeah it is getting ridiculous now. Previous managers could justifiably feel let down by Glazers as they weren't delivered their first choice transfer targets and therefore struggled to rebuild a broken squad hindered by years of underinvestment under Fergie. But Ole has benefited not only from the handful of successful signings made by his predecessors but also some of the best academy products since the 90s and been allowed to make a lot of big money signings. He's also been given ridiculousy easy targets to achieve and scraped to achieve those while failing to win anything.
Zidane would be my first choice. Proven winner. Commands respect from the players. Not a systems manager. Expansive approach to the game. And has that rare ability Fergie had of being able to work around any weaknesses in the squad and still win everything going. Also massive pulling power so we can continue to sign top quality. Ticks all the boxes really. I think the only slight question mark is how motivated he would be to work for us and how long he would stick around. I'm not sure he has the same hunger to keep winning things that someone like Conte has. He's already cemented his place among the greats for his Real Madrid exploits.
Conte would definitely win stuff for us. He'd demand a lot more from our players but that is what they need really. He'd probably rub a few players up the wrong way (including Ronaldo) but I think for the most part our players are pretty professional and so long as we are winning stuff it would work just fine. Tactically he is absolutely superb and pretty pragmatic. He gets some accusations about negative football but goals won't be a problem for us and if he can organize our midfield and tighten up our defence that would greatly increase our chances. But of course the problem is he'd also demand a lot from the Glazers and they'd absolutely hate that. The comparisons with Jose are a bit unfair but there are some definite similarities.
Rodgers would be an improvement on Ole but if you look at his work at Liverpool while he helped lay the groundwork it required Klopp to come along to really lift them to the next level. And he hasn't really won that much (although still a helliuva lot more than Ole). Also question marks how he would handle the egos of our big name players. He'd have been good for us a few years ago when we were still building the team. But if you look at the squad we have now we need an elite manager who can add the finishing touches, add the winning mentality and deliver the biggest trophies.
