www.skysports.com/football/news/29326/12418792/neville-odd-bunch-man-utd-must-play-as-a-teamGary Neville: Man Utd don't play well enough as a team to win title, but club will stick with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. "I think you have to be a unit in and out of possession, and when you only deliver in moments, those moments won't go for you in certain games. You need patterns of play, you need a way of playing, and at this moment in time I still see a group of individuals playing in moments, with some patterns and combinations at times, but still a team where some are pretty new together - Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho - but they've got to come together as a team and start to define a style of play. Then you start to get results when you don't play well" his good ol pal has been in charge for 3 years. Problem is the manager defines the style of play & after 3 years,he still doesn't know what our style of play is or how to change it. There was a lot of bluff this summer that OGS wanted to play a more attacking style of play, that is not the case & it won't change under his management,it's same now as it was since his permanent appointment. He is far too cautious, you only to look at the attacking ability available Saturday,we never really looked like scoring,Ronaldo isolated & dropping deep or drifting out left often, just to try & get involved = great big hole centrally in the final 3rd,not enough bodies far enough forward,to get on to ball into the box, easy to defend against etc etc etc. The decent football thing under Ole is a myth & nothing more.

As has been said he really has been bailed out on a number of occasions by flashes of brilliance, which have nothing to do with our manager or his 'style of play'... He has been unbelievably lucky to get a result when it is looking bad for him but still no trophy and he needs to acknowledge that he reached his ceiling a while back and he should leave to let someone competent do the job... But he won't and therefore needs to be sacked... (and I hate saying that about a genuine club legend...)

if we don't win in midweek and against the toffees, his mates are gonna start carving him up. The tone is well and truly changing, they can't call out the Glazers after the work in the summer albeit we needed a DM, therefore the only person that can be called is Ole.

The Glazers have fucking nothing to do with the shitshow on offer. As I said some of our fanbase is deluded. They are literally bending over backwards talking utter shite to make excuses for this man.

To be expected from a group of people who run a football club but have absolutely no idea about the game itself

I guess they have to put this out, but behind closed doors i am hoping that they are making calls. Ed needs to sort this one out on his way out the door

I just realised how savage the run of games in October and November are.

If we don't win the next few matches I think he will be gone. A loss on Wednesday and things will get very interesting.

Ole getting pelters on talk sport before, nice to see the journos are picking up on it now, basically saying if we get beat on weds he's surly gone, I'd take that tbh, because with a new guy in charge I'd still expect us to qualify from the group with four games left.

If we were not going to go with one of the expected big names once he is eventually sacked, I think Potter is a very good coach.

Neville questioning the style of play is not good for the manager.
