That vid just shows a lot of good defending, not many goals come from the crosses that he manages to get over. not many goals come from pogbas passes...it doesnt mean his passes are shit...

A great season by Tony so far, as a defender he's powerful and determined, hard to get past, and strong in the tackle, consistent. Sorry but he's not a wing back though, he rarely gets past defenders and delivers a good across now and he`s easy to set up against because he`s so one footed.A few more with his will to win wouldn't go amiss. Wut? That is genuinely a brilliant highlight package for a RB and there are still a lot of games left to play. Never appreciate how many tackles he actually makes by charging players down before they can try and turn him

I've always liked and defended Tony, says I with a self-righteous grin! I too have never wavered in my love and appreciation of Tony V. He's probably my favourite United player. Understated technical ability, all heart and graft and grit. Said it before but one of my greatest regrets about football and that fucking 2012 season was that Valencia's goal against Blackburn should have been a crucial, title-defining goal. He deserved it to be replayed as Brucey's headers or Coley's loft over Walker. That it wasn't I think will always cause me sadness.

Look how many of those crosses are perfect but we can't score. The other things I took from that were; a) Zeus Almighty we miss some bloody chances b) We really have been robbed in big games this season. That was a stonewall peno against Arsenal and the city game in the League was a disgrace as well.

I waivered when he was a right winger & his ankle was bothering him. I was adamant he was a really good right back though. Defended him loads last season. Stepped up another notch this season.

until this season i`ve never really paid attention to valencia`s first touch. started doing it in summer and his first touch is as good as mata`s. and i dont think there is anyone in this squad with a better first touch than mata and valencia.

77th player to make 200 appearances for United
Despite a few wobbles he has been a decent servant to the club. Crazy that he still doesn't speak a lick of English after all the years he has been here

Great player. When he moved to RB first his positional sense was poor (to be expected) but he's obviously worked on it, despite playing with different CBs nearly every game, to the point where he rarely gets caught. Given his age and style up to that point, that's a fantastic achievement. Hopefully he can keep going for another 3 or 4 years. We need him and more like him.

i think even his left-foot crossing has improved. as you can see in some of his highlights videos from this season, lots of good and accurate crosses with his left. most of them even better than other players crosses with their prefered foot

mourinho has done him wonders. to hear from your new coach that he thinks you`re one of the best in the world and some years ago he wanted you at real madrid and to give him all this freedom on the right side certainly changes a player. it can go both ways but the confidence boost transformed him. he now plays with so much freedom and the knowledge in his own abilities. he was a powerhouse before but maybe he was lacking some tactical parts of his game, which certainly came with mourinho. and also that freedom on his side that he can basically go all out attacking. he is a pure joy to watch this season
