this can go one of 2 ways for us. 1. Glazers realise that no one is gonna buy us so they need to revise strategy which might involve clearing some debt and investing more in the club to get more out. 2. They totally ravage us for every penny they can get knowing the that big juicy profit is not happening anytime soon.

Whilst the keep getting a solid income, I doubt they are going anywhere. Who knows with the way things are though.

I’m not sure the share price is doing too well at the minute and there’s only so long you can hold off investment in the stadium for. Fortunately for them the Bruno signing will keep any real revolt on the back burner for a while. Not sure another possible very wealthy owner is what they need right now either. . Quite funny really. Karma and all.

Saudi purchase of the Geordies to be ratified within weeks. I believe Amanda Staveley is the woman behind this, i think she's the CEO of the PCP group that's involved in this. She tried to buy the Geordies in 2017 but it fell through, looks to be the real deal this time. I can recall seeing her on one of the news channels a while back, think it was Bloomberg or CNBC when she was saying her group was involved with mining and hotels in Saudi, etc, amongst other things.. She stuck in my head when i saw her initially as i was thinking this is the type of person we'd need to force the Glazers out (because she came across as very business savvy, think she's a broker..) Looks like the Premier League are checking this out but if it comes off, the Geordies could well become a force because apparently Staveley and the Saudi's have no issue pumping money into them.

I'd be fine with the lockdown staying in place forever to be honest. Modern football is shit anyway.

Good stadium, an actual fanbase (unlike our blue neighbours), no real competition in the northeast etc. If they do the right things and bring in the right people, Newcastle will be a force in 5 years.

our debt is high, stadium needs more than a lick of paint, squad seems ok but will need investment this summer and next summer in fact every summer to ensure that players are challenged and things are fresh, naturally you would hope that you spend less by virtue of the fact we are identifying them nice and early and giving them a platform to blow up rather than wait until everyone notices them and the price is high. The Glazers can easily start getting the debt down and investing in the stadium if they use the next 2 windows to invest well and in at least 6 players, our squad is pretty young etc.
They are simply to greedy and want to keep lining their pockets, another issue is there are too many of them and most don't understand or care about football or any sport, i won't name them but most know who. if say just 2 owned the club i think we would be better off if we had to be stuck with them

Do you remember a few years back when they said they were going to shelve plans for investment in the stadium and use it to fund transfers instead? 🙄 Probably coincided with the summer they told Jose the defenders weren’t any better than what we already had? Then broke the transfer record 12 months later on one of those players. Penny wise pound foolish. They’ve been making it up as they go along and have been for years now.

If the Saudi's buy Newcastle the biggest problem they'll face is convincing the best players to go and live up in the North East.
I mean, it's a nice area of the world and all that, but enough to keep superstar Brazilian, Spanish, Italian, French, etc players happy? Unless you throw obscene amounts of money at them to convince them to stay, and FFP will prevent them from paying those kinds of wages.
I bloody hope so anyway, if there were 3 clubs I would have pleaded with the universe not to get insane levels of investment, City and Newcastle would have been two of them (Liverpool obviously the other one).

Players will be convinced to join Newcastle by the same method that players have been convinced to join clubs not based in places like Milan, Madrid and Barcelona over the years-
Money.

Nail on the head. Been seeing plenty of reports regarding the financial power behind the people involved in this deal plus the Saudi’s and it’s frightening. They won’t blink an eyelid throwing money at players and being located in the North East just won’t matter! (For want of a better way of putting it).
