Problem with this gimp is he actually had a chance to put across a valid argument at the start in regards to certain pundits. But instead decided to come across in the worst way possible with the abuse and using it as a platform for the attention he craves. He's made himself look a bigger cunt than he was before and didn't think that was possible. I think Aloku is a shocking pundit and is there simply to just tick a box. But the abuse is just so unnecessary. Everything else that's followed just highlights the kind of person he is. Says about others having skeletons in their closet, not many people have more than him. I mean he defended his brothers racially motivated murder by describing it as "just a scrap". The downside to social media and letting certain people have a platform to speak from. |

He has no career left in football so he's gone down the Katie Hopkins path of saying a lot of bollocks to appeal to the knuckle dragging demographic, and unfortunately it can be lucrative.
As already said, he had a kind of point to begin with, there is no question some female pundits are shite, and only got the role to tick a box and fill a quota. But, equally, a lot of male pundits are shite too, and they only got the job due to connections and the old "jobs for the boys" mentality.
if he'd focused on this and was vocal about only the best and most deserving people getting the roles, male or female, rather than "He played for Liverpool so get him, and she's a woman so get her" then he'd have a lot more support. But instead thinks all women are the worst and, bizzarly, compares them to serial killers. Absolute bellend.

Disagree that Barton was ever on to something. He hasn’t been remotely objective. He has basically just said that all female presenters, pundits and comms should fuck off because they’re women. He’s a simple minded clown who is at something far more sinister than merely voicing an opinion on football coverage. Folk should just ignore him and let him scream his bile into the void.
This conversation has been had before on here and my opinion hasn’t changed. The state of punditry full stop is dreadful; man, woman or whatever the hell Martin Keown is supposed to be, most of them are shite.
