I've always said Van Gaal did far more long term damage to United than Moyes ever did. Moyes took a title winning squad and added Mata to it. And Fellaini as well but obviously he was pretty shite. Everyone else was still around, the entire team/squad that won the league was here, and was only even better with a player like Mata now around. Van Gaal came stomping in, acting like a nob so people liked him, and decimated the heart of this squad. Out went Evra, Kagawa, Welbeck, Keane, Zaha, Nani, RVP, Rafael, Evans and Chico. Utterly shocking what he did to this club, but endlessly gets a pass because "Remember when he fell down against Arsenal? Brilliant!" Yeah agree. Not to mention his ambien approach to football was just the worst. But unforgivable that he was allowed to do what he did to the core of this club.

As wretched as his transfers were, his football was literally the most boring I’ve ever seen watching Utd. And I watched Sexton’s teams.

While I agree with most of that, I think Moyes was worse in that he immediately destroyed the 'aura' of Fergie's United. Everyone was waiting to see us fall off a cliff without Sir Alex. We needed one season of staying where we were. Didn't even need to win the League, I don't think, just a sustained challenge and a Cup. As it was Moyes instantly stripped away our elite status and turned us into a joke. There is a part of me that will not forgive Sir Alex and Sir Bobby for shunning Mourinho to replace Fergie. Woodward needed a firm voice and we had Moyes.

LVG fiasco again comes back to Ed , he got rid of the core because his style of football is completely different to what United traditionally played. May be if we were planning to get someone like Pep that may have made sense. But as it was we were neither here nor there, got the wrong manager considering players we had and failed to properly back him in the market (and after 7 years it ontinues while the man overseeing it gains even more powers) I think Moyes was such a clusterfuck ed obviously panicked ,lvg had a decent world cup and we went for him without any further thoughts ,of course it didnt work, pep went to city ed wanted to be seen important and went for Jose who again had very different style of football. So in summary ed making mistake after mistake

Apparently Zlatan faces the (possible) ignominy of a three year ban from football for investing in a Malta-based betting company ,which would effectively end his career. Blimey.

Obviously innocent until proven guilty etc but Giggs seems to be a very problematic character. The thing with his brother was disgraceful but this is next level if he’s found guilty. Utter scrote if true.

Giggs was some player in his prime, but he's a pure scumbag of a person. Like, one of the lowest.

I don't think there's another former player of ours that has suffered such a fall in my opinion of them. There's an Argentinian or two in the running, it takes a special kind of scumbag to beat them.

What is scary is he was being groomed by LVG as a future Manchester United manager. Definitely dodged a bullet there.

What is scary is he was being groomed by LVG as a future Manchester United manager. Definitely dodged a bullet there. Probably one of the main reasons I was happy Jose was hired. I suppose we had to get the ex player manager thing out of our system eventually. Thank god that one didn’t happen.
