Well, actually, he didn’t. There was a big crowd and they sold a lot of Lingard merch, but in the game (came on as a second half sub) he basically did his thing, ran around like a headless chicken and missed a sitter. I suppose the story on Insta will be a bit different to the reality! 😆

To offer a counterpoint, Schweinsteiger did take the piss out of the club. He was injured for about a third of a season, flew all over the place watching tennis and then was fit enough to go to an international tournament and sprint about 90 yards full pelt off the ball to nab a tap in. I was extremely frustrated by this at the time.
Also, I thought the bulk of this was common knowledge at the time? We knew he was in exile didn’t we? We never knew the exact circumstances around it maybe.
Anyway, I’m also no fan of Jose really. I’ve admittedly not watched the full interview as yet, I gather there is some mitigation offered towards Jose. However, he doesn’t come out of that looking good does he? Just cowardly surely not doing the dirty work yourself. Poisonous, miserable little cunt.
