I'd really like to take a poll on how many don't fancy Welbeck just so we can have a go at them come end of the season. Joins the list of player prematurely dismissed I'm going to hold my hand up and say that I wrongly judged him at the start of pre -season He hasn't proven me wrong yet but he's done a good job in the last while. His problem was always scoring goals.His build up play was always brilliant but he now seems to have gotten over that and his finishing looks superb. |

I could be putting 2+2=5 together here but if Chelsea sign Willian then surely they must be selling one of the top players? No way will they keep Oscar, Hazard, Mata, De Bruyne, Schurrle and Willian all happy. To me that could equal Rooney going to them with us getting Mata + cash? Seems odd timing that a report comes out about us talking to Chelsea on Monday about Mata / Rooney and now they put a bid in for Willian when he's literally signing on the dotted line?

If Chelsea get Willian then it could be the "plan b"Jose was reffering to with getting Rooney. Either way getting Willian (another pointless transfer) is going to upset one of the big players.

If nothing goes wrong in 3-5 years he can be hell of a player. |

In my opinion Welbz isn't a 10, his first touch, ball retention and range of passing, in addition to the creativeness of his passing isn't up to what we need. Kagawa, now there's a 10. We're off topic so I'll just say this, I at no point suggest Kagawa is not a superior number 10, but you underate Welbeck. Then again thats been pretty endemic on these boards this summer, I don't really want to get drawn into it, he'll be showing it for himself this season. Back on topic, we have no reason to sell to Chelsea. We don't have too if we don't want too and we shouldn't want too. they are grossly mistaken if they think they can nudge up from a paltry £25mill for him. We're Manchester United and we can afford to let him wind down his contract if we so wish. They paid £50mill for a striker whose always been an inferior player to him. Not to mention he's intrinsically valuable to the club and one of the most marketable players in the world. We shouldn't even entertain them for less than £60million in my opinion and judging from Chelsea comments, they seem unlikely to go that far. And its not like we can say we've already strengthened thoroughly enough, because money in the bank means fuck all to me, I care about the squad. Also part of me wants us have a good showing on stamping down on player power, as is seems Liverpool may be doing with Suarez. We keep saying hes simply not for sale and I wont be surprised if thats the simple truth. But I'm not underrating Welbeck? I simply said IMO he's not a 10, given the above mentioned are required in that position more than just the average player, look at the very best. Fairly sure the coaching staff have kept saying he's a CF too. Anyway. |

RVP is 30.. Eventually, Welbz will replace him.. Between No 10 and floater from the wings, Danny will get enough game time and continue his development.. Love the lad's attitude. Just gets on with it and works his socks off everytime..

Say renties replace Mata with Willian and sign potato, would Mata improve us more than Roo will Chelsea? I'm starting to have my doubts.. If Ozil is available as rumoured, we shoud just sign him instead..
Oh n btw, Willian as Plan B does not make sense. Seeing as he is CAM and Roo will be leading the line?

United players, Rooney excluded, jump on top of him as the players (& Mata) celebrate the last gasp winner.
