Lots of reports over the past couple of days linking us with the Italian international. Personally don't think we need him, but then I always like Italian center backs, even if he plays for a team that finished ninth in the league. Don't know much about him though. What do you guys make of this?

Meh, we are ok for CB at the moment until other areas are sorted.

Keane should get more games next season, and hopefully Ioannou will continue his development.

Plus i doubt Inter would sell him cheap

I'd like to see Keane given a chance too. Wouldn't mind going in for Ranocchia in a year or two though, if he is indeed good enough.

he is highly rated in italy, however imo buying a center back is a waste of money for us.
we have rio, vidic, evans, jones, smalling also good youngsters in keane and wooton.
pure waste to add to that.
defense is an area we are stong in. even if say vidic was sold i'd still say we'd be fine. now sell evra and we would maybe need to go in but i am truly confident fabio will rise to the ocassion week in week out, i could care less what he has done at qpr and i also feel buttner will come on.

CB is not a priority for me.

Some reports like the one above, are claiming we're going to be making a bid for Ranocchia pretty soon.

We'll have to wait and see if anything comes of it, i'd imagine.
