They have a great chance of beating this Aussie team. The side has plenty of flair and big match experience to beat the Aussies. I predict 3 excellent tests but Im sure it will go the distance. The lions were impressive in South Africa last time round but the Saffers were abit meaner and wiser in that exchange, i think the coin will be flipped for this test series.

They have to win this series. Won't get a better chance. I have to say of all the teams I have an affection for the Lions are the one that never get the rub of the green. Could have won two out of the last 3 with a bit of luck. They never get anything from the refs. Watch on Saturday, there will be ridiculous calls given against them, particularly in the scrims.

I know its one of the worst teams that could of been played but still for a team that is meant to consist of some the best players in Britain and Ireland this is appaling.

This is horrendous. Scrum has gone to shite. Couple of players playing themselves out of contention. Youngs is having a mare, the replacements look completely lost. O'Brien and Gray the only ones with any real credit. The 2 outhalves experiment is going totally tits up.
Where is James Hook?

Goods subs by Gatland. Forwards well on top now. Front row in particular dominating.

Only players with a chance of starting the test are Gray, Faletau and maybe some of the front row.Would of said Kearney but no one is going to start ahead of Halfpenny.Fair play to the brumbies, most of the lions didnt look interested

Youngs and Faletau have played themselves off the bench for saturday imo. Faletau is unfortuante but didn't do enough to oust Heaslip. Think O'Brien will get the nod as he can cover all 3 positions. And is also a very good player.
Very sad to see Rory Best blow it today. Thought he might make the bench on Saturday, can't see it now.

Been impressed with Parling everytime I've seen him. He'd be my choice for sub 2nd row.

As I said yesterday whats the point in having a hooker on the pitch if he cant throw, fucking useless.
Hope the Welsh, Irish, Samoan and Tongan Lions play better than that, although it was a make shift side. With halfpenny kicking like he is Farell may aswell fuck off home because other than kicking he brings nothing to the table, Sexton has so much more to his game.
As Stew said Ive been pretty impressed with Parling, was written off when the squad was announced but contained himself very well

What do you think of the test side Paul? I think he got it right bar Lydiate ahead of O'Btien on the bench. It's good enough to win.

A few suprises, the exclusion of Faletau and Tipuric has shocked me a little. Tipuric is one of the most under rated and over looked players in the British Isles. Still good enough to win it though, not the strongest. But with the Aussies not including Cooper and bringing in 3 uncapped players it should make it interesting. I'd have started Vunipola and Lydiate and had Tipuric, Faletau and Zebo on the bench.

Still think its crazy to leave O'Brien off the bench. Can play all 3 back row positions. Lydiate is purely a no 6. I like him but think we're fucked if anything happens toWarburtons knee
