Are our youngsters not all that? a lot of them seem to be bigged up quite a lot and yet we never see them coming through, i'm probs being harsh but when you think of the high hopes for Angel Gomes, Garner, Laird etc. and they didn't really get a sniff and when they did they didn't exactly set the world alight.
I mean, when was the last time we won anything of note at youth level? i worry we big these lads up because we're desperate for the next class of 92 style break through

We have won stuff at youth level not so long ago but that's not really the point is it? Chelsea have won a fuck yon of FA Youth Cups in the last 10 years and they barely have an
Academy player in the first team. City as well.
Pogba, Greenwood, Rashford, McTominay, Henderson. I'd say that's not too bad. Laird is also doing a great job on loan and he'll have a future here. Brandon Williams is playing every game for Norwich on loan. Garner will also have a future in the Premier League, maybe not with us though.
We also have some other great talents that have a chance to make the step. Elanga, Fernandez, Kovar, Mengi, Fish.
Don't look at one game and start drawing conclusions.

Chelsea have won a fuck yon of FA Youth Cups in the last 10 years and they barely have an Academy player in the first team. City as well. Pogba, Greenwood, Rashford, McTominay, Henderson. I'd say that's not too bad. Laird is also doing a great job on loan and he'll have a future here. Brandon Williams is playing every game for Norwich on loan.
