Absolutely disgraceful performances from the Ref and VAR. 2 of those were cast-iron. And the Scouse seem determined to injure MacAllister on every occasion he touched the ball.
Justice for Brighton in the end but dire from the officials, yet again.

Justice for Brighton in the end but dire from the officials, yet again. Even Fabinho knew it was a red. The fact it was reviewed and not actioned just proves that they don't follow guidelines or rules. They pick and choose when they're followed. Same went for the Rashford goal last night. Same thing happened for the Vermin (shocker) against Wolves but was a totally different outcome. Literally the only league in Europe that still had these major issues with VAR. No other country has to deal with this incompetent shit.

It’s part of this “Oh hasn’t the ref done well letting the game flow.” nonsense.
Occasionally that is true but more often than not I just see refs being too lenient. A foul is a foul, whether you want to let the game flow, or not.

Proper cup tie that. Better side aswell and deserved the win, gutted they couldn't hold on but love the journey they're on. Doing themselves and country proud. At least they'll get another bite at it.

VAR has managed to turn our refs into simpering, indecisive dicks, and I wouldn’t be in the least surprised if they had to consult VAR about having a cup of tea or coffee in the mornings!. Fabinho absolutely knew what he’d done immediately today , his face betrayed him. Absolutely disgusting, as were those ‘tackles’ by that big oaf Carroll yesterday, hope both clubs report the refs to PGMOL.

They literally spent about twenty years telling us “the referees just need a bit more help”.
Nah, they’re just idiots.

May as well have ChatGPT run the VAR.

There were several whispers that the Premier League was vehemently anti-VAR and it was introduced under duress. And there were also murmurings that it would be so incompetently used that it would turn fans off it. This has come to pass unfortunately. We’ve gone through several stages but we have now arrived at ‘What is the point?’ Which will be followed presumably by its scrapping in England at the first available opportunity. The Fabinho challenge might be a tipping point. The prick was already walking off and then it was overturned. Unreal.

That is a good question and I don’t know the answer. If it did though, it won’t apply in this case as he plays for Liverpool.
