A good little potted history of our transfer dealings in the prem years - make of it what you will.

In particular, the 00/01 season when we bought nobody and won the league having also spent only 17.8m on the below the previous year:
Fabien Barthez £7,800,000
Mikael Silvestre £4,000,000
Massimo Taibi £4,500,000
Quinton Fortune £1,500,000
Mark Bosnich Free
Then the following year we blew 57m on Ruud/veron/forlan and came third with a paltry 77 points !!!!!!!!!!
Of Course, glory followed, but I will be content if this season is one of transition as long as a firm bedrock for future success is layed, and some coherent transfer targets are readied for the next campaign.
