_ - -Excellent points, surprising that those were almost the same points being discussed with on another place between myself and another person on the Sun's comments section-- would you be him The reason being is -- This is like Pool under Hodgson why. 1. After the summer nonsense Deadwood came out and said the actual outlay was only 40M and that we had used it to sign MF an are that needed strengthening , Varela and Zaha and Extended Nani's contract while keeping in Rooney and that in itself was a big achievement. 2. Winning doesn't matter as long as we can keep selling shirts since crisps and ketchup stain won;t show that much on a red shirt (even if its a tablecloth). 3. Pool under Hodgson was pisspoor and couldn't stand a chance even under lower league teams - similar to how we are unable to against Swansea, Sunderland, Cardiff , WBA ... 4. The manager couldn't get any style into the game except hoof ball and a distinct hope while claiming how good the fans are and how the team is gelling and yada yada yada-- we hear that all time. 5. Pool - Hodgson- Fulham , United - Moyes - Everton , hopefully to England - Moyes , bye bye. 6. We got Mata just like RvP cos it was a one off and it was fluke. There has been a very distinct pattern to our scouting and transfers, players refusing to sign contract extensions, or on last year, wanting to leave , knock down transfer prices from what otherwise would be huge fee. The only way we will get 2-3 players is either they are dirt cheap or are all under 15-20 mil or we will end up with 1 big and 1 squad player 7. DM's statement in his interview first up that it'd take him at least 3 years to get his own team in place. I hold no dream that we will have a massive influx of teams cos there has been little to no evidence of this huge war chest that we keep hearing about, Unless there are swap deals or some nonsensical fees for Ando, Nani and whomever else we sell. Its a shame but it how it will be for next year or two IMO. There was a man who was no flop with very little he could shop and make a team that would top he goes by the name of Jurgen... that's the man we should have got. Well onto tonight's game and hopefully some Mata and Persie magic No, not me but glad to hear of parallel thoughts with different perspectives. FYI, I don't read any newspapers and I'm only a member of RoM. Your point 7 seems to confirm my suspicion that all these promises are a load of eye wash, worthless. If we're lucky we might see a new and capable team in 2016.

Our u18's have just lost 2-0 to those classless arabs at home. Less than a week ago our u21's lost to them as well. I don't see these fuckers going away any time soon. Think its high time we come to the understanding that they aren't gonna go anywhere and are here to stay. They will go on spending and purchasing at every level to make sure that the team remains at top once it eventually gets there consistently. Its more a matter of pride for them and they unlike our gimps won't think twice to spend so they can pride themselves under the spotlight. FFP will probably scratch their backs when it itches for them and that's about it. Hard as it may be that's the reality

If we're lucky we might see a new and capable team in 2016. hopefully. also that was the original projected year when we'd actually have been cleared of all debt. of course this is all conjecture at this point with me putting various things together and drawing a conclusion but its hard not to. RvP, Kagawa, Mata all have been buys where the players have wanted to leave or didn't want to extend contract and actually wanted to join us. Owen before that. The thing is that we can't spend loads of cash cos we don't have it - the gimps have stolen it and its quite blatantly evident and it really drives me crazy when some support them whenever such signings happen. It s quite simple - one Major signing before summer helps in selling off all tickets , one in Jan helps in keeping the notion that there will be more to come in summer and helps the bookings. Nothing else. All the scouting is really to see which player is playing hard ball and which is real and then go for it. FFS if we do get Rues or Kroos or anyone else its not cos we blew everyone else off with our offer but 1. The player/club wanted the sale. 2. We were the choice of destination 3. we can get them relatively cheap and it will help in sales ( Read : Tickets and Shirts).

We were the choice of destination 3. we can get them relatively cheap and it will help in sales ( Read : Tickets and Shirts). Pretty much agree with all your comments. Thinking about it logically: In any other business or venture I/we would stop my relationship with the club. Fact is like most fans we have to live with it and pay up knowing all the while we are participating in a massive a scam to cheat us out of hard earned money. If we had any sense we would stop encouraging salaries of £300,000 a week and all the other bollox. As fans across all the leagues, we know these rogues thrive on our rivalries and hatreds to scam us for more. Where I am particularly critical is all of these promises. As a shareholder I get to hear nothing about the team, as a season ticket holder I am thrown a bone of better tomorrow's and promises of players. Well this dog is barking and will continue to bark because I have paid for it. I know the club doesn't listen but eventually if we are loud enough and fewer bums on seats they will have to think again. We really should have had a new shirt ban on the Mata shirt. Hit the board in the only place they understand. its interesting how in the last three years season tickets have not sold out. This season they have struggled to sell tickets and people have been leaving earlier and earlier. I am hoping if we become more vocal and less tickets are bought the board my have under go a major rethink in May. I really do live in hope that the reds will find their self respect and kick up a real rumpus over the shoddy events of this last season.

Agreed but what i am more interested in or rather hoping is that it will eventually force the gimps hand into selling to see of whatever profits that they can take at this point rather than hold out and get into investigations at the stock exchange or something like what happened with Liverpool.
There have been polar opinions , however on the same with peeps i have talked with on such sale. few say that the gimps can only get to have higher sale value only with lower or zero debts and team performing well while others feel the sale is a reality only if United were to fall lower so that it makes buying or potential bidding even possible has otherwise there aren't many who'd think of taking over.
The arabs or qatars are still interested but not at some 3 bn or so mark which is what the gimps seem to be willing to come to the discussion board. So Naturally a fall in standards means that it'd be better to knock down the price at which point conspiracy theories come to the front as to how its all part of plan to get rid of the cunts and all from Gill and Fergie to differences withing the cunts family itself. Its quite interesting the chat rooms from time to time i must say. but at this point its all very bleak and dark.

4 months and a window to find a CM and LB. What's DD's excuse now?
Even if our squad was chock full of average or shit players, why hasn't anything been done?? I did throw silly money at Dortmund for Klopp.

We could buy Ronaldo & Messi but it wouldn't make a difference because we have an incompetent clown as our manager...

Right, I think this Jan 2014 thread has run its course. It's a huge, huge section of the ROM database and we're better served by starting a summer 2014 thread. Feel free to start a new one
