Why is the official announcement taking this long? Surely by now something official would have popped up? Generally its official during or after the medical or there is a bigger announcement like 2 or more players being lined up   ok may be not on the last point...... |

That self-important knobber Phil McNulty at the BBC wrote a pretty good article for once, on Mata; www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25854919Basically saying that Mata will of course help the squad and be an exciting purchase, but he's not what the squad desperately needs; the midfield will still be shit behind him and the defence still leaky. Hopefully two things that will get sorted in the summer. I do believe this is a great signing but he's going to have a tough time shining with the piss-poor level of support he'll get. |

Agree with his sentiment, but I said earlier, it's a statement noe. We've stolen a march on our rivals for next Summer, 6 months earlier than we expected (hoped). The danger is we've spunked the Summer budget on a luxury. A Sexy Spanish Fly luxury, but a luxury nonetheless. |
