I think the idea would be to get Cabaye now and then add someone like Vidal in the summer. Of course, fuck Cabaye if we can get Vidal now. I'd be interested to see if Tatty thinks we have a chance of Vidal in Jan. My gut feeling is probably this summer. |

Cabaye no thanks.. don't care if he is better than cleverly or not. The guy refused to play for the club who pays him to force a move to Arsenal, you can't trust him. Also i think he is inconsistent and needs someone to do his dirty work (Tiote) Rather give Tree another chance than Cabaye. I'd hope Vidal or Pogba.. id take either  |

He signed an extension not long ago, but even then I doubt Juve could offer anywhere near what we could, Italian clubs don't have the financial clout any more. Vidal makes me sad, he was the one that moved for ~£12million in the summer that Fergie banged on about 'no value'. Really poor, would have fixed our midfield for so little money. If we do want him, nows the time. I fully expect Pogba to PSG for big money sooner rather than later, after which no chance. On Gundogen, was reading a post from the redcafe from someone who follows Dortmund and it sounds bad. If its true he has a unoperable back problem that could relapse at any time. Even questions over his career in general. Cant see us going anywhere near that if its that bad.Nailed on to sign then owen hargreaves Version 2.0 ? |

On another note.. could we be in for a winger? I see Zaha and Fabio both on the way to Cardfif but Fabio is a perm deal, Zaha just a loan

Just read a rumour were looking at making a €40 bid for Arturo Vidal and want to announce both signings at the same time, not sure what truth there is in it though. 40 mil is a laughable offer for Vidal, try 50. I'd have to re-evaluate my life if we got Mata and Vidal. Tell me about it, ill have to go out and buy more underwear, i got a full wash on atm of just boxers. Transfer news gets me excited. |

Watched him a few times, always got the feeling that he is a decent player, not world class. Also kind of put off by the fact that Inter have been whoring him out to everyone in europe this January, which doesn't exactly make him seem like a serious asset, or are they short £££? To be honest I think buying the likes of Cabaye and Guarin would be like going at the hole in the titanic with duct tape. Might be ok for a few games, but in the end the midfield would still be fucked. They aren't top top players and aren't long term solutions. Agree completely with United_One_Love when he says "We have to hold on to the idea that only the very best established players deserve to wear our shirt." That should be the standard, we're the biggest team in the world, second best shouldn't be good enough. |
