Moyes on deadline day: "You can stand down your TV cameras at the gates. I don't think they'll be required. We've done our business Fucking great *sigh*

Makes one other-worldy signing and thinks that'll do it.

As good as the Mata signing is, we haven't done anything to patch up our two main problem areas, centre mid and left-back. So ultimately, its been a disappointing window for us. Top 4 will be a difficult struggle now.

Got to admit...even with the previous experience of the summer debacle, I had a little glimmer of hope in my heart that maybe, just maybe we were doing a little (big) deal behind the scenes...
...but DD appears to have lived down to my expectations once again...

Moyes has decided to play russion roulette till the end of the season. He is pinning his hopes of on our attackers outscoring the opposition. No CM available to could improve us considerably is a joke. No LB that could improve us is a joke. We now head to the hardest transfer window of all in a world cup year with an awful lot of work to do.

I reckon the Rooney deal will be announced before the day is out. If it is, this board will look like a scene from the French revolution!

We now head to the hardest transfer window of all in a world cup year with an awful lot of work to do. I think you're first two lines there are spot on, there's going to be some very entertaining games from now until the end of the season, a lot of high scoring games. However, it leaves us there for the taking at the Emirates and when city come to OT. Just not solid enough in the back third, and leaking a lot at set pieces. Would hope that at some point this January Ed has made a few gentlemen's agreements for the summer. Nothing like a transfer saga after a world cup, inflated prices, inflated egos, it can get very ugly.

An open letter needs to be penned to Moyes telling him to just go hell bent for 4th by fielding the best XI every game, and if that means throwing youngsters into the mix then so be it -- the risk can be no less risky than when we have to field Giggs in CM, the current crop have done little to inspire winning performances as far as I am concerned that may as well chuck in the youngsters to see if they are capable of doing a better job. I have already said previously in this thread that Blackett needs to be tried & tested; we are not bringing in another option to solve that position so why not give him games, how much worse can he be than Evra & Buttner?
Sidenote: At least we have Mata, all Liverpool have thus far is good ol' "Dunkin' Donuts" as a new sponser
