I actually agree with Putin on this one. The Americans say they have evidence the government used chemical weapons but wheres this evidence. Wheres the details so we can judge for ourselves. I don't know about you but believing our leaders is a problem for me these days. My instincts tell me the rebels used chemical weapons to get our countries into this conflict and when Assads gone the crazies will just turn the country into what Afghanistan was under the taliban. You can't help rebels who are backed by al qaeda. I believe there revolution is being hijacked by these bastards and thats a bigger problem than Assad will be in the long run.

If we agree with any of the politicians, then we'd have been had.
I don't think there is a conspiracy - I do think Assad's regime have been using chemical weapons. Instead of sending in the army - which no one thinks is a good idea to encourage, period - just negotiate both sides to disarm their chemical weapons or face further embargo or military bombardments. Which is what they're heading towards, no?

Seems like everyone's playing the blame game for a casus belli. Either way, I stick to the notion that the UN or World powers should negotiate both sides (this means Assad and Rebels) to disarm their chemical weapons or face further embargo or military bombardments. Actually, come to think about it. Why don't the UN or World powers negotiate or threaten both sides to lower their weapons and start a voting process strictly overseen by the UN? Then again, that's too logical and both sides probably wouldn't want to leave it to the population to choose.
