Got to tell you all about a book I downloaded from Kindle - it's called 'Manchester United's Role In My Troubled Life' by a red called Peter Morris from Salford. It's a cracking book! It's all about been a young red in the 1960's and 70's - not about soccer hooligans or all that old crap, it's just a laugh a minute, he describes his life at a tough secondary modern and his troubles at home, but the football stuff is just terrific. Bobby Charlton described as a player 'moaning bastard! George Best how the fans of that time really saw him - Best 99p you'll ever spend. Should be a best seller it's that good.

That tickled me about there being no witnesses in Salford! Also the camp in Prestatyn i'm almost certain i went there as a kid if not it was somewhere very similar. |
