BT own the rights Champions league football in the UK.

Hopefully by 2015 they'll have got some better pundits and commentators on board. Michael Owen commentating on a Champions League match would be a horrific anti-climax to the football.

If you were living in an area of Northern Ireland, close to the border with us here in the Republic, you would definitely pick up RTE's Champions League coverage on Saorview on sat, for free!!

As far as i'm aware places like Strabane, Castlederg, Fivemiletown, Aughnacloy, etc would be able to access RTE's CL football coverage on Saorview, effectively on a freebie!!

Basically it's RTE's overspill into Northern Ireland.

I live in belfast during the week and RTE doesn't go that far
