Was having a bit mess about on youtube and found this, all our goals from the '90-'91 Cup winners cup.
Hughes finish in the final really was a superb effort, gets better every time I see it.

Great video. But why did we play Wrexham in the second round?
I checked on Wikipedia and they didn't win anything in 89-90.
They were in the final of the Welsh cup, but lost to Hereford United.
Does anyone know?

I just checked the Welsh Cup Wiki page and it says: "Until 1995, some clubs playing in England were also invited to play in the Welsh Cup, but could not progress to the European Cup Winners' Cup by winning the Welsh cup. Instead, the best placed Welsh club in the Welsh cup would take the European place" So there ya go! |
