Sorry if this is dealt with elsewhere (bugger if I can find it, if it is!) but what does the "Author" folder mean and why is it sometimes depicted in flames?
Just curious (as I seem to burn alot!)

I assume that you mean the picture of a folder that is next to the the thread on the boards, which basically tell you what kind of a thread it is. Whether it is a locked thread (it will have a picture of a lock), pinned thread (picture of a pin) a popular thread of over a certain amount of post will have flames on the picture of the folder because it's a "hot thread" whilst some threads will have red flames because the thread is even hotter (has even more posts)
I hope that clarifies it, unless I'm not getting the question, which is quite possible as I've not slept yet!
