Kraken spiced rum is fucking mint . Love it .
Have any of you tried JD honey ? Not your traditional stuff , bit new agey. But I quite like it .

That JD honey just doesn't last in our house. I once worked in tintagel (sp) and discovered scrumpy farms or should that be hangover farms! Excellent stuff.

Being a west country boy I loves me a pint of rough cider - Cheddar Valley and Black Rat being my favourite of the more commercial varieties - but I'll drink just about anything in a pint glass. And you can't go wrong with a nice smokey, full bodied single malt Scotch. I also like a good glass of wine. I work in fine food wholesale, and we have a pretty good wine selection - but I'm far from an expert. Smokey scotch - you have my attention. What can you recommend? A few months ago I had a scotch so damned smokey and peaty that it was like licking the inside of a garden centre, Spectacular. Jura Prophecy, it was. Get some. Laphroaig distillery makes some superb stuff. My bosses had a bottle from 1974 that cost them the best part of a grand, they shared it with a few of us when the company expanded a couple of years ago, flash fuckers that they are. It was the best thing I've ever had in my mouth. If you don't have a spare grand knocking about their 10 year old is very good for a £35 bottle, but the 18 year old is amazing for ~£70, it tastes like you're drinking Winston Churchill's study - smoke and wood and leather, it's good gear.

Not really a beer drinker these days but can recommend Buxton brewerys "jaw gate" if you like the real ale craft beer stuff. Does anyone know of a decent non-alcoholic lager/beer Iam on the wagon and the best Ive found is Bavaria but its not great by along shot, most are no better than cats piss. like Becks blue.

My one and only experience with tequila was on a 'team building' exercise at work last year... i remember having a few pints, then the tequila then about 2 mins after that. Apparently I turned into a womanising monster ha

Mentioned ouzo before, another spirit with a similar aniseed base but far more interesting is Absinthe a drink banned in the past because it was supposed to send people tripy and crazy.Would like to give it a try but dont think the local BargainBooze stock it.

Tequila is wonderful stuff. It makes you all warm and tingly inside. Getting on that is the perfect way to build team spirit and a real sense of togetherness. There's a massive difference, like anything else I guess, between the cheap stuff and the goooood stuff. I had some real nice stuff the last time I was in Mexico and now nothing else even comes close. Can't remember what it was, which makes that little anecdote completely irrelevant. Oops. Ciroc vodka is one of the nicest vodkas I've had. It's really smooth and doesn't have that really "paint thinner" taste to it. It's not cheap, but they sold it in Vegas and I got hooked on it. I prefer white wines though. When I was in Montreal I had this French Chablis by La Chablisienne. Very very nice mix of dry and sweet.

Vegas knows about booze.

Had it once, never again. It isn't even nice. Just makes you feel like you're drinking battery acid.

If anybody likes experimenting beer, try some of the belgian fruit beer. A particular brand called BelleVue Kriek had me feeling like I was sitting on a cherry cloud.

I'm just a lager lout. Not really into anything else. Do love aniseed though so I like sambuca, Ouzo, pernod etc.
Oz has a great selection of lagers. Nobody here touches Fosters, you can't even find it. They ship that shite off to the rest of the world and keep their good stuff at home.
Crown is a great lager, James Boags too. Enjoy Pure Blonde and Toohey's too.
