Bit speechless about this. Was a comedy idol of mine when I was a kid. Loved the Young ones and New Statesman but to me he'll always be Flash

Massive shock.
Big fan of his all my life. Used to watch the Young Ones as a kid when I was allowed to stay up. New Statesman was excellant, he was class in Blackadder and Bottom may have been pretty lowbrow humour but what the hell, I liked it.

Mental. Bit of a shock really. Favourite work definitely has to be the voices for Hogs of War on the Playstation! R.I.P. I was chatting to the Mrs the other day about that game. We both loved it. Just seeing the clips on the BBC, it doesn't half make you nostalgic and remind you of how quickly time goes. I remember watching the young ones in my bedroom on a little portable black and white and not knowing WTF was going on! Guest house paradiso was absolutely mental too. Thoughts go out to Rik's family and also to Ade. He's probably just lost his best mate. Sad news. |

sat and watched Guest House Paradiso last night.
Rik was a legend, one of the funniest guys i've had the fortune of seeing on the tv. The young Ones was fantastic but Bottom was the show that made me realise how much i love Rik & Ade. Pure comedy genius.
