Not sure why I'm posting this as the chap can't pass, can't tackle, can't read the game and he's lucky to even be a footballer in the first place.

Did you post it, because someone was getting under your skin?

A few things from that video:
1. With a bit of time and space, Carrick is absolutely majestic.
2. I'm astounded by the amount of times Carrick gets the ball and there are actually oceans of green, open pitch around him without another United shirt.
3. The guy should have assists by the hat-ful, why on earth did we decide having him place balls out wide onto our winger's toes/Rooney's shit touch was a good idea again?

I remember when Carrick was pretty Epic along side Scholesy. Was actually a under-rated partnership!

OMG, a Carrick enabler has been vetted. Carrick with enough back up to make Obama feel comfortable is a great player. Put him under pressure and he becomes the back pass king. Better yet run at him on the dribble and he becomes no better then a road cone, as positional only works with teams trying to pass through the gaps. Please let's stop making Michael out to be the player from 2008-2010, we need to accept that we need a real DM, and at least one box to box/CM....Carrick needs to ride into the sunset.

That's just it, Carrick is not a defensive midfielder in the regular sense of the word. Anyone expecting him to be smashing into Roy Keane-esque tackles is going to be disapointed. He gets shit because he's English. No one expects Pirlo or Alonso to be that "Tough guy, hard tackling, ball winning midfield general" because they're silky foreigners. Carrick plays just like they do, but gets abuse for doing the same role. Because we don't want to see our English players playing like that.
