I think it's fair to wait till window shuts before making a prediction. Recall our start in double winning season? First few games don't account for much.
Besides, potential new signings could have a big say at both ends of the table esp us and saints.

I can see Chelsea winning the CL :-( Uncomfortably, I was thinking the same thing. Realistically, there are only a couple of sides who look capable of winning it. Real - Usual fanfare and high profile signings, but teams don't retain the CL. Barca - tika taka has run it's course...I hope. Bayern - If Robben and their German contingent pick up where their WC left off, it's hard to see past them. If there's a hangover or fatigue sets in, they might slip up. Other than those usuals, the dark horses are Juve, especially if they keep Vidal and we gift them Nani and Hernandez, although the loss of Conte could derail them, Chelsea and...gag...City. If one of the English clubs gets a decent knockout stage draw I can see either Chelsea or City in the final.

People reckon Real Madrid could be the first team to retain the European Cup in the new format? Interesting. Well I would go for the obvious winners but we're not in it

I am absolutely dreading the Champions League group stage draw. That is going to really hammer home Moyes' legacy.

We really should have requested that we be allowed to compete on the grounds of Extenuating Circumstances i. e. Inept, Wouldn't Resign When It Became Clear He Was Clueless, Dithering, Fuckhead.

That season had to happen. Herrera and Shaw are now at United thanks to that shower of shit last season. Two important positions addresses that may not have had ***** done better.
