The new season's nearly here, the feel good factor is back at the club, I figure a prediction for the season ahead is due.
Title winners. Champions League qualifiers. Relegated. Top scorer. FA Cup winner. League Cup winner. Champions League winner.
I'll go with:
Title winners: Chelsea Champions League qualifiers: City, United, Arsenal. Relegated: Burnley, Aston Villa, Sunderland Top Scorer: Van Persie FA Cup winner: United League Cup winner: Spurs Champions League winner: Bayern
Feel free anyone to add extra categories if they wish.

Yeah I thought it maybe too early, might be getting a bit carried away with eagerness for the season to start! But then I thought, if you wait till September then you're seeing the first few games of the season, which is cheating a little bit. I'll stick with my predictions for now, and maybe change my mind depending on who signs or sells who between now and then.

Not having a go mate, so no worries. As things stand, I'd say Southampton are down but a lot can change between now the the end of the window. Just wait until we sign Vidal, Hummels and..and... We'll win EVERYdamnTHING.

Was going to say, wait until the window closes - it's impossible (very difficult) to say now. If we sign a decent central defender and a quality midfielder the sky is the limit really.

Can I just agree with that. I'll go Juventus for CL for no particular reason and the Scousers for a brilliant amazing life changing league cup win.

People reckon Real Madrid could be the first team to retain the European Cup in the new format? Interesting.

People reckon Real Madrid could be the first team to retain the European Cup in the new format? Interesting. Hard not to back them. With James and possibly Falcao coming in their attack looks irresistible, even without Falcao. Keylor Navas is a solid keeper and Ancelotti is a superb manager. Basically I just want anybody other than Bayern, Barcelona, Chelsea and Man City to win it. And that makes me tilt towards Real.

I'd love to see a dark horse win it. Dortmund, or Atleti.

I'd love to see a dark horse win it. Dortmund, or Atleti. I think that chapter is now over, BVB had their chance and Atletico won't do it again. Barca, Real and Bayern, not to mention Chelsea are different prospects now, mainly as they collectively dismantled the "second" tier sides mentioned above.

I didn't mean those specific teams really, just that 'ilk' but I just can't see it unfortunately. NOT LIVERPOOL OR CITY THOUGH. With the biggest teams and spenders in Europe as they now, I think we need the like of a Mourinho's Porto or even Chelsea in 2012 (they played Barcelona in the semi and then Bayern in the final) to give the European Cup a shake. Real winning La Decima last season feels like some sort of a marker to me. Either we get a European Cup that only a handful of teams will win ever again, or we get a European Cup that every decent sized team can genuinely believe that have a chance of winning.
