All this has come from Balague who has a terrible track record. Ease up chaps. I tend to agree with you Chris. There is only one source and everyone is copying it. When MUFC announce then fine, but I gather Rojo has a work permit issue still and another South American isn't going to make things any easier. Personally I would prefer the money spent on a midfield general like Vidal to bring some order in the squad.

sooooo work permit sorted before this time ed? No, what will happen is this... Ed signs Di Maria and seals the work permit on the same day that Angel flies in. Angel is met by waving crowds at the airport. As the player arrives at Carrington, Ed rushes out to greet him and make sure he is in all the initial photos but as he approaches, he trips and falls head first into Angel causing a compound fracture of our new signing's right leg. Out for 9 months. Ed shrugs and wanders off to fax PSG about Cavani.

Di Maria played as a CM for parts of last season, I reckon that is where he will be in the immediate future.
If this happens, and it seems to be the closest transfer to happen the whole window, then I will be as happy as a pig in shit. I only hope he doesn't do what Rojo and Herrera did and have his full name printed on the back of his jersey, it looks terrible. Just a simple Di Maria 7 will do.

@squawka: Area of the pitch from which Angel Di Maria created his chances last season: Left: 33.4% Centre: 42.2% Right: 24.4% t.co/Fmqf6ZGaQWThe guy is a threat no matter where you play him. LOL: @footballvines: Angel Di Maria t.co/smnZfrHsAD

From the article: There is also confidence that United can sign Daley Blind from Ajax, while manager Louis van Gaal remains in the hunt for another midfielder.

I know Ed the tit has taken one shit after another this transfer window, but, if you had have told me in May he would land Herrera, Rojo, Shaw, Di Maria, Blind and a possibly another mid, I would have been over the fucking moon.

I agree with both sentiments being expressed over the window, great summer if we sign all those players, but still a fuck up in that it should of all been done and dusted, bedded into the team
Edit: As long as we get a quality DM, otherwise, it's shit

Just mainly pointing out the quality names. That is five starting caliber players under the age of 26 (Di Maria being the old vet at 26). LVG says, youth is important to him. Well, that is a lot of very good youth. In regards to a DM (agree with you entirely), let's wait and see. Di Maria is the kind of signing other players will see as a real signal of intent. This signing will gloss over some ineptitude, but we still have huge question marks in the spine of the squad. These HAVE to be addressed.
