I see Di Maria got MOTM award on Yahoo Sports, Argentina 1 v 0 Jamaica. MAN OF THE MATCH - Angel Di Maria This night was Messi’s night - as he collected his 100th cap for Argentina - but the best player on the pitch on blue and white was undoubtedly Di Maria. Manchester United fans must have watched this performance with excitement, as the winger provided Argentina’s brightest attacking spark. He smashed the crossbar with an astonishing shot from distance and provided the assist for Higuain’s winning goal. He was fantastic, even if his team wasn’t.uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/copa-am%C3%A9rica-argentina-unconvincing-lionel-messi-picks-century-213455377--sow.htmlHe was exceptional. Memphis and ADM are both flyers, opponents gonna have a nightmare trying to figure something out to slow them down, and then, if somehow you think you might slow them, Ander and Juan will tear them apart.

The Argentinian joined the Red Devils for a British-record £59.7million in the summer but, after a promising start to his career in England, injury and a loss of form saw him finish the season on the bench.
That has prompted some talk of a move away, with reports in Spain suggesting Barcelona are set to make an audacious move for the forward who only left arch-rivals Real Madrid 10 months ago.
But Di Maria, currently at the Copa America with Argentina, has stressed he will stay and fight for his place, despite revealing he is in an "uncomfortable" position.
"I started well with goals and assists," he told Argentinian newspaper Ole.
"I was having a good time, until I was outside (of the first team).
"It's a little hard to explain why I do not play."
Asked if he was uncomfortable, he added: "'Yes, for me and my family. Because not everything goes as I want, because I don't play.
"I came with an intention and ended up on the bench. It's hard to say how I feel there.
"No (I will not leave) because I'm not thinking like that.
"In Madrid there were times when I was whistled around the stadium but I faced it and then it turned around. I like to deal with things.
"I've demonstrated what I do for several years."

Agent Messi is messing with Barca top brass to get ADM signed. Please NO. Their midfield-attack is already scary.
Barca possible lineup Neymar--Messi--Suarez ADM-- Biscuits-- Iniesta
Also, I want to see ADM play in tandem with Depay, which would effectively reduce the possibility of double (triple) teaming up on ADM.

Can't see it happening. Premier League - Paper Round: Lionel Messi 'told Barcelona to bid for Angel di Maria' Thursday's papers claim that Barcelona's Argentine maestro is the man pulling the strings of the Catalan side's attempts to sign Angel di Maria. By Toby Keel 36 minutes ago Eurosport There is another wrinkle as well: the club's deal with Real Madrid last year stipulates that the Red Devils must pay Real £10 million if Di Maria is sold to Barca. Paper Round's view - It's natural that Messi would want Di Maria at Barcelona. He's an outstanding player and a friend. But he doesn't really fit the team and with Man United needing to pay £10 million for selling him to Barca, the Red Devils would probably demand upwards of £70 million for Di Maria. The Catalans would no doubt want to accommodate Messi as far as possible, but let's face it: not to the tune of £70m for a player they don't really need.uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/premier-league-paper-round-lionel-messi-told-barcelona-063430929--sow.html

ADM was brilliant tonite, as was the entire Argentinian side. Paraguay was not "bad" but Argentina was absolutely brilliant. Played like a side that has nothing but world class players on the attack, and they all seemed to be in touch with each other. ADM got a Brace, Rojo got his. Messi did not score, but he fooking well owned the pitch, and he was like a maestro conducting a world class orchestra. Pastore and Messi were freekin telepathically linked. Look in reference books for why they call football the beautiful game, that match will be up there other legendary games. Cost me 7 bucks to dial it in, best 7 bucks I've spent in a very long time. ADM showed world class form, don't know who the transfer window will bring, but IMO United is going to scare the piss out of teams in the Premier League this season once they hit form (right around first part of August ) DAMN that summer tour can't get underway soon enough. I want to see them run out and start kicking some ass!!

"Real Madrid really missed his driving runs last season," Forlan wrote in his weekly column in Uruguayan paper The National. "He is quick, he makes assists and he can also do the hardest thing in football — beat a player one-on-one.
"United will regret it if he leaves. He should be given another season to prove himself and United should try to understand him better and trust him.
"Great coaches and great players don’t always get on and not every player fits into rigid systems, but Di Maria is worth persisting with." ---------- Good man Forlan, he knows a thing or two about adapting to a different league.
