"The fans in England have not seen the real Di Maria. I know I can offer a better level. This year was not good enough"

My challenge is not for one year, but to become part of the history of Manchester United.""
“The stadium is unique, the fans sensational – it is a fantastic club. My only frustration is that we haven’t offered the fans our best face every week.
"My dream at United is still to win the Premier League and Champions League.”

If he is at it next season then we will be transformed in an attacking sense.

Lots been said about his (still impressive) assist stats but watching these highlights was a good reminder of what a class player we have in our ranks. The ABU press has gleefully jumped on the 'waste of money, flop, etc.' bandwagon the same way they did with Falcao. With his recent comments, I'm looking forward to this man terrorising defences in the league and linking up with Memphis, Juan and Ander to create a scary goal threat from midfield for us.

Swim posted a good point in another thread, With someone like Depay offering another threat on the other side, even if Di Maria goes central, it will take some of the defenders away from him, not to mention everyone thinks he's shit now and wont offer him as much attention (hopefully)
Watch him fly next year.

Yeah I agree. Di Maria will step up next season.

Angel and Memphis are going to be FEARED by opponents, especially with Ander & Juan moving them along with lovely through balls.
Plus that midfield will be deep, ready for CL. LvG is going to give himself a lot of options \0/

VIDEO 5/06/2015 11:08, Report by Sean Mullan, video by Andy O'Connor Di Maria wins Premier League goal award Angel Di Maria's superb chipped finish for Manchester United against Leicester City has emerged victorious in the Premier League's 'Goal Cup' vote on Twitter, being chosen by fans as the best strike during 2014/15. The Argentinian's effort, scored during a 5-3 defeat at the King Power Stadium in September, was selected as one of eight standout strikes during the season, which were then paired together in a knockout format. Users of the social platform were asked to pick their favourites, with the goal receiving the most votes progressing to the next stage until only one remained. Having beaten off competition from Jermain Defoe and Charlie Adam to reach the final, Di Maria then came up against Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, nominated for his long-range effort away to Southampton, in the final. The Brazilian took an early lead but it was ultimately United's no.7 who triumphed to take the prize. Angel's strike was recognised as one of the Reds' best of the campaign, recently finishing second to Juan Mata's acrobatic effort at Anfield in the club's Goal of the Season voting. We're sure you'll agree that it's well worth another look! www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Features/2015/Jun/Angel-Di-Maria-wins-Premier-League-goal-award-lob-Leicester-City-v-Manchester-United.aspx

Need those two back in form raring to go next season. Or to look at it in a more positive light, they can string together more than 2 games in a row and gain some form/fitness

I see Di Maria got MOTM award on Yahoo Sports, Argentina 1 v 0 Jamaica. MAN OF THE MATCH - Angel Di Maria This night was Messi’s night - as he collected his 100th cap for Argentina - but the best player on the pitch on blue and white was undoubtedly Di Maria. Manchester United fans must have watched this performance with excitement, as the winger provided Argentina’s brightest attacking spark. He smashed the crossbar with an astonishing shot from distance and provided the assist for Higuain’s winning goal. He was fantastic, even if his team wasn’t.uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/copa-am%C3%A9rica-argentina-unconvincing-lionel-messi-picks-century-213455377--sow.html
