Yeah, I'm leaning towards the service being shit, Mata never plays, Rooney played in the hole and he's a borderline simpleton when it comes to creating.
Di Maria isn't a 10, shouldn't have played there.
The only ones in the squad I'd deem good enough to play in the hole are Mata and Herrera, perhaps Januzaj at a stretch - hell, even Pereira and Lingard would do better in that role than Rooney, he drops the bar way below what's required, meaning everyone in front of him suffers from making endless runs and not being found.
Not the only reason mind, but part of it.

So, I say again, what are we missing or what is LvG seeing that we don't?? Baffling...

If it's true LVG will drop him at the weekend - if it's bullshit he's starting

At this point it does look like a massive mistake. Played out of position, can't find any form, a manager who seems to have fled from his attacking principles ...

He needs to stay. Some indications that LvG is removing blinders from his beady little eyes. Just signed Blackett and gave him huge pay raise. Have been working to bring in Karim Bellarabi from Bayer Leverkusen, (very pacey winger, has 4 national caps for Germany) best part is the release is said to be 10.7 mil.

As I said in another thread, the fact he mentioned that he would of gone to PSG before Utd if FFP hadnt of stopped them at the time, makes me think he will be there next season.

I much prefer to believe that United's manager and director(s) can see quality when it is in front of their eyes, even when there are players of less quality that are making it look like the players are all muppets. It isn't as bad as I've heard some fans make it out to be, BUT, I believe that there has been a build-up of fan frustration that has made even one act of random muppetry make the entire 90 minutes go to hell in the eyes of some viewers. ADM is a world class, quality player. A great deal of what he does is based on instinct and it is done at extreme pace. I surely do believe if he were started in the middle, which has been the spot where he has proven to be damn near unstoppable, and were there for a run of matches, I believe it would answer any "questions" and it could very well mean favorable (3-points) results for United when they are very much needed. I'm starting to wonder if the "philosophy" might well be "Cut off your nose to spite your face, and never admit a mistake"

When you are only getting 1-2-3 shots on target during games, then to a layman like me you would think hang on this isnt working, but van gaals ego wont accept he has it wrong.

He's better than Rooney and RVP - on a par with a fully fit Falcao and obviously Willo is nowhere near his peak so can't be compared yet It seems he is badly in need of a change of scenery and it hasn't helped that Zlatan is playing in his favoured position Like all strikers he needs service and we need to find a way to feed the strikers whoever they are

That Cavani was better than an in prime van Persie is dodgy enough. To say Cavani is as good as Falcao, laughable.
