Just wondering what your opinions are on this one. Would you have picked Courtois over Cech?. 32 really isn't that old for a Goalkeeper, I know sentiment has no place in sport but Cech has been a great player and servant for Chelsea and I don't remember him letting them down. Fans talk about players being loyal to the club but I do feel it has to go the other way as well. Goalkeepers usually display there best years after there 30s. He'd be a great signing for some club.

Personally think it was now or never for Chelsea to give Courtois his chance or he would have walked, and rightly so.
Would you rather have 3 more years of Cech being class or 15 years of Courtois being world class for your club?
Huge respect for Cech btw. One of the few Chelsea players I genuinely like. Love the way he dominates his box for corners, great to watch. Still too good to be a benchwarmer, that is Schwarzer's job.

Cech will go down as one of the greatest goalkeepers of his era, no doubt. Superb in every aspect.
He should really get the hell out of there unless he wants to be a sub. He is a starter, no question.
Courtois we know is excellent, the only real rival to De Gea in terms of who will be the best keeper in the future.

Tough choice but the long term is Courtois. Can't say any more than above - Play him now or see him walk.
If you're talking loyalty, Chelsea should allow Cech to leave on a free really so he can sign for whomever he chooses. Far too good to be a Back up or even a rotation 'keeper. Hasn't quite been the same since the head injury though.

If they have any class, will let Cech leave to wherever he wants. It's a tough call but I believe Jose made the right choice. Courtois is ready and the future. Can't keep sending him out on loans forever and too much potential to risk losing him.
