IF a livable price can be negotiated then would like to see him stick around. I've no doubt what you said about mindset is correct.
Falcao like any other instinctive player, they get hurt, hardest part is to get their mind and body back in sync. The kind of skills that you can see with Falcao skills aren't product of "thinking" they are the product of countless hours of work on the players part. Comes from drive to be the best, and love of the game. Injury happens, the kind of pain that came with having the knee torn up, and the pain that comes with rehab, seriously difficult for the player to blank his mind and not "flinch" when trying to get back to where he was when he got hurt.
Probably never get to that "instinctive" level where spectacular happens ever again. BUT once the mind gets in tune with the rest of him, he can still be a top top player. Already know that he has the work ethic, and his conduct during this season which has to be the worst of his life, both on and off the pitch shows him to be a seriously wanting to make it work.
IF a good price can be negotiated, I think rolling the dice on El Tigre could be something that turns out to be historic in a good way for United.

Utd have already let him go today, so he wont ever get the chance now

Ah well, very understandable, and very intelligent business decision.
Putting it in perspective, if he has a crap season next year, it becomes brilliant bit of transfer, and if he busts out and gets his form, or even 80% of his form back, I'll be happy for him (if he doesn't score hat trick against United) an a few "I told you so's" in the bank.
Can't lose either way

Genuinely doubt a PL-side like Chelsea, City or Arsenal will fork out the wages required to sign him, I'd be pleased if he goes back to Spain.

Will miss you big man. Just pop the goals in at Monaco and we will all regret you left. 24/05/2015 21:15, Report by Ben Hibbs Falcao leaves United and returns to Monaco Radamel Falcao has returned to AS Monaco following a season-long loan spell at Manchester United.
The 29-year-old Colombian striker joined the Reds on transfer deadline day in September, initially on a temporary basis and with an option to make the move permanent.
He made 29 appearances and scored four goals during nine months at Old Trafford, and he departs with the best wishes of the manager and everyone at the club.
Louis van Gaal told ManUtd.com: "Falcao is a top professional and a good human being. On behalf of myself and everyone at the club I would like to wish him well for the future."

The word 'regret' will no longer have a definition in the Oxford English Dictionary. Instead, it will simply have a picture of that tweet beside it.

Thats really emotional. I would cry if you tell me what it actually means Edit: Google translate says "I want to thank the fans for all the gestures ManUtd support they always gave me. I will never forget you !!" Gem of a person
