Remember that kid who when we signed Rooney was at Old Trafford with the 'Thank you for Rooney' Sign? Well that would be me but with a 'Thank you for Falco' sign

Even if we did sell Rooney we wouldn't need another striker. We'd be better off signing a creative player as we would have Kagawa ready to step up as the number 10 Robin up top and Welbeck and Hernandez as back up.

Are you saying that you'd get rid of Rooney and have Welbeck as a replacement rather than Falco? .... i *think* that's what you're saying?

We already have van Persie there so I don't see how that works. I can't think of a team in Europe who plays with two genuine number 9's either as it doesn't work. I would play Kagawa in Rooney's position with Robin up top and Welbeck and Hernandez as back up.

Could be something in the reports given that Atletico don't own him 100% apparantly.
And the Mendes connection obv.

Whether or not the rumours are true is a different thing, I have read some stories today about it mind. Nice kick in the teeth that would be to the likes of Chelsea and City, signing one of the best players in the world where he wants to win instead of just earn.

Kagawa and Cleverley in a dynamic midfield, Falcao and Robin van Persie in front of them.
Yeah, I could cope with that.

Would be the writing on the wall for Rooney but we'd be replacing him with probably the best #9 in the world at the moment so I wouldn't say no.

'But, but, but, what about Carrick. . . Waaaaahhhh!!'
He will, of course, still have his part to play. But time to look for youth and mobilty and pace in our midfield. Never know, we might actually start playing some decent football.

Never know, we might actually start playing some decent football. you live in an alternate reality to the rest of us. carrick's our one regular midfielder having the season of his life, and all season long you've been talking about him being either thrown into rotation or not in the side at all. you want a kagawa/cleverley combo in midfield, which would be so unbalanced and top-ended our defense would be exposed massively and we'd have big trouble moving the ball into the attacking half of the pitch, since cleverley can't pass forwards and kagawa isn't a plyer who wants to keep picking up the ball off the back line.
