EDIT: Actually, this is the Falcao thread.
Regardless of the midfield behind them, I'd shiver in anticipation of a front pairing of RvP and RFG. (Radamel Falcao Garcia, as I know him fron PES 6.)

www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/9984103/Wayne-Rooneys-Manchester-United-future-under-spotlight-after-Falcao-link.htmlWayne Rooney's Manchester United future under spotlight after Falcao link Wayne Rooney's future at Old Trafford is under renewed scrutiny following reports in Spain that Manchester United are planning a £45 million summer move for Atletico Madrid's Radamel Falcao. A report in Marca says Falcao, perhaps Europe's most in-demand attacking talent, has already been in talks with United over a move to the Premier League this summer. The futures of both Rooney and Javier Hernandez are uncertain beyond the summer, with neither player guaranteed a starting place for the champions elect. Rooney was controversially left out of the side for the Champions League game against Real Madrid and French club PSG have been linked with a move for the England forward. Hernandez is widely admired in Spain, and is understood to be frustrated at the peripheral role he has at Old Trafford. Though Falcao's performances in La Liga and in Europe can only have impressed Ferguson, a move for Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski in the summer still seems more likely. The Pole would be available for around £15 million this summer, and he has already stated his preference is to join Sir Alex Ferguson's side if he leaves Dortmund in the summer. His contract expires in June 2014, and he is keen to leave at the end of this campaign. United’s interest in the 24-year-old dates back to last summer, when Dortmund received an inquiry about Lewandowski’s availability prior to Robin van Persie’s £22m arrival at Old Trafford from Arsenal. Falcao is also long-term target for both Manchester City and Chelsea, who are both expected sign forwards in the summer. There is also strong interest from City in Napoli's Edinson Cavani, whom Roberto Mancini wanted to sign last year. ----------------------------------------- sod spending 45 mil on Falcao, if rooney's out of favour just play Hernandez. and buy Bale

Our strike force is not an issue. We have an ageing left back and two young replacements that haven't shown enough to suggest they can take his spot.
We have a backup goalkeeper who is most likely off.
We have two wingers completely out of sorts, one of which is stalling on a new contract. Plus another winger who has not shown he is United class for a prolonged period of time.
And now the central midfield:
Scholes is likely to retire. Fletcher may well have played his last game for us. Cleverley looks promising, but still has a long way to go to answer our problems. Anderson could well be sold after another season of injury problems and disappointing performances. Giggs is another year older and has had an ever diminishing impact for the past few seasons. Carrick has been fantastic, but is over-used. He'll be another year older and to hope he'll go another season without injury is ridiculous.
I think we have enough on our plates without having to cause more issues that need tackling.

agree. usually you'd expect new striker talk to be exciting. in these circumstances it's annoying

Even with 10 strikers Fergie would still probably have them sitting back and inviting pressure in the second half.

Falcao is a bona fide stud and we would be lucky to have him. Im still not completely sold on kagawa yet, hes a bit slight for the premiere league to be an everyday player. One thing is certain, even winning the title this year. We need to make personnel moves to keep on top.
