I spend a lot of time reading, got an hour on the train everyday for work so read to pass the time.
Terry Pratchett one of my favourite authors, devastated when I head he had Alzheimer's. His diskworld books are superb.
Bill Bryson is a favourite of mine too, strongly recommend his books. Informative and a great sense of humour.
Stephen King is always a good read too, get your money worth out of his books.
I'm into non fiction as well. History gets me, prison books in these shitty Asian and South American gaols as well. Hell on earth those places, always good to read how people get by and manage to come out the other side.

I read a lot. Like, really a lot of books at once. So here's what I've got going on right now...
David Mitchell - The Bone Clocks Owen Jones - The Establishment Donna Tartt - The Goldfinch Thomas De Quincey - Confessions of an English Opium-Eater José Saramago - The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis William Blum - America's Deadliest Export William Faulkner - The Sound and the Fury
And in spite of that I'm still having Murakami withdrawal.

Dan Brown books are a good read if you like conspiracy theories and a lot of twists and turns.

Dan Brown books are a good read if you like conspiracy theories and a lot of twists and turns. The early (Non-Langdon) ones are pretty good too

When not writing or researching I read David Gemmell novels. They fall under Sci-Fi and fantasy, but I would call them heroic fantasy a bit like GoT but smaller. I read one by chance and was hooked, he died recently a relatively young man. The only serious literature I dip into these days are the essays of Gore Vidal, American political satire.
